Keane has nothing to do with this argument. It is quite sad that you choose to bring up my advocacy of Keane at 2pm today to prove your point. Hines was rubbish. Get over it.Bobby Orangeboom wrote:Bullsh*t, he done more in 90 mins today than that **** Keane has done since minute 4 of the Villa Game..

I hate to say it but everyone shot me down when we signed keane and I said he was past it. I'm finding it hard to resist the urge to bump the thread.

I know it's irrelevant, what did the players do at the end...?

That's why I came on this thread to ask the same.Suicyde wrote:I know it's irrelevant, what did the players do at the end...?

From what I saw on TV, Parker went over to the fans. Not sure about others.
However, with Wigan fans coming on the pitch and stewards cordoning off our fans, I imagine that most would have gone down the tunnel quickly.

Re: Wigan Athletic v West Ham United: Match Thread
The team selection was abysmal. Why were Parker, Cole, Sears and Da Costa sitting on the bench while on the field we had the likes of Spector, Piquionne, Spence and Hines. We were in trouble all match and our goals went against the run of play. We were lucky be up 2-0 and half time would have been a great opportunity to change things bring on Parker for Spector and Cole for a ****ing useless Piquionne. So what did Avram do? Precisely nothing until the momentum of the game changed and Wigan were back in it.
The responsibility for this defeat and our relegation lies squarely with Avram Grant. While the owners have shown their willingness to back the team they have made two colossal mistakes in appointing him and then sticking with him.
I am sincerely gutted.

Took an age to come over, to the point where I started to get pretty angry with them. Parker and Green did very personal goodbyes, and Hitzlsperger came over and gave a lot of applause too. Tomkins looked devastated as well. That was about it. A few others came over and clapped a bit.Suicyde wrote:I know it's irrelevant, what did the players do at the end...?

Well thank you West Ham. You've played so poorly, so often that I've got to the point that I actually don't care that we're down, I don't care that you'll all leave and earn your thousands somewhere else. We'll rebuild, again. Roll on July when this team gets gutted and we find some players that fancy putting in a shift. Our fans today we're simply awesome. Loved being part of it. See you all next season.
Re: Wigan Athletic v West Ham United: Match Thread
Thanks Smuts...I only watched the game, so didn't get to see any of the aftermath. Doesn't surprise me that those two showed the sort of emotion that us fans would've shown.smuts wrote:I think they just stood there or sat on the floor then sloped off.......Parker went to the crowd and Green was in tears.

Shouldn't this match have been played last Friday, the 13th?; Whatever, it's a bloody nightmare.
2-0 up at half-time, lose 3-2, and finally the owners have the balls to fire the clown who's been posing as our manager this season, but about 8 months too late; A pity that, because they could have saved us all a lot of unecessary grief, and themselves about £40 million in loose change.
Breaking news....
Avram Grant has signed-up to appear on a new series of 'Mastermind'; Specialist subject: Relegation.

Just back, my voice has gone, i feel so drained, sorry to anyone sitting in the left top corner about me shouting all the time, got a few songs started though
Top top support today, if the scores were based on the fans of each club wed have won 20-0, simply shocking support from Wigan, tons of empty seats, and only got a song going when they got a goal, aided by a drum.
Fu*k the result, fu*k that we are down, weve got the best fans in the land

As usual a great day out, plenty of streamers and inflatables about. Thought the hoardings getting taken apart was funny as well.
Bring on next year and more great away days
