Sunday's Lap of Thanks....

Post by Edwardes »

For those of us going on Sunday.....after the match I presume there will be the traditional lap of thanks from the players, will you :

a) leave promptly at the final whistle
b) stay and give the players abuse
c) stay and just watch without clapping, or
d) stay and clap the players for their efforts

I think most will find option 'd' pretty hard. Any thoughts?

Do you honestly think we will play with Upson and ****? I don't think even West Ham are that dumb.

Start with a team of players for next year + Green and Parker. If we then win the match, it will be a symbol of how we are going to get straight back up again, and it would certainly send out a statement to possible managers and players alike. I don't think you know how important this game can be for us, if handled correctly.

Green
Spence - Tomkins - Reid - Gabbidon
Collison - Parker - Spector/Noble/Hitz
Sears - Ba/Cole - Barrera

With Gabbs starting and Jacobsen not even on the bench, I thinm its pretty clear which one of them we'd like to keep. Gabbidon is the prefered option here aswell, as we lack more in centre and left back, than on the right, were surely Spence will need lots of playtime at next year.

I don't know if either Noble or Hitz will stay. I think they've both done a good joob at the club, and I'd want at least one of them to stay put. Hopefully we'll find that out before Sunday. Noble will probably be injured still anyway though.

Sears is West Ham through and through. And will be a vital piece next year. I don't know if Ba wants to stay, but from what I can tell, Cole really wants to do good in this club and wants to stay. Sure, he'll get some stick, but he is used to it. Wouldn't mind some words from him either on the OS or the pre-match magazine. Barrera has been missing for a long time, and needs to get a shot to prove himself. I think he can rise to become a great player in the Championship next year.

Then leave Upson, Dyer, Kovac, Boa Morte, Piquionne, Faubert, Bridge, Keane and Obinna at home. We don't want you, and you don't want us. Unless any of you have the guts to go otu and say that you want to stay. Have a bench with Boffin, Fry, Eyolfsson, Spector, Hines, Nouble and Tombides. They have a future here, and will need signs of life in the West Ham shirt.

after the utter crap we have had to put up with this season a "lap of honour" from these players at the end of the game would be for me an insult.

Notwithstanding the now meaningless(futile even) content of Sundays game that should be refunded.
