A thoroughly enjoyable day out, not the greatest spectacle but it makes a change to have to do a 3 hour + drive without feeling like driving off the nearest cliff.

I don't care how wins come and I'll take games like that all season if we win them all 1-0, Doncaster looked a tidy team but it was good to see that apart from one or two moments they didn't really trouble us.

Everyone forgets that seasons always start slowly but I can see that hopefully but 6 or so games we will have confidence flowing through the team, from what I've seen of the first two games we could storm this league.

The Parker situation needs to be sorted though, bottled a lot of 50/50s today which is disappointing.

Reid and Tomkins look a good pairing at the back, O'brien looks a good buy aswell, the less said about Ilunga the better really.

Piq needs to be dropped, really don't rate him at periods when we were attacking today he was standing with the defence

just got in, ive not read much of this but heres my thoughts.

we dominated the 1st half, but it looked far to easy at times and i felt as if we had another couple of gears in us, my worry at ht was not being more ahead. second half i dunno what happened but when they got on top we seemed to panic, near the end we were just smashing it clear. i dont think theres any problem with the ability of our team but we need to get into a winning mentality which i know is gonna be hard after being so crap for the past 2 years. as soon as we come under it you can see players like tomkins, reid even noble panic, im sure in there head there seeing wigan, birmingham ect. we are far better than any team in that league imo and the players need to believe that and we'll be fine.

nolan was alot better than last week which was good to see, reid solid again.

also please start cole over piq vs watford.

What worries me is that according to the BBC we only had 1 shot on target
Look on the bright side. We had a one hundred percent shot conversion ratio

Good day out but we have to be thankful that Doncaster were so poor.

Nice to be met at station by friendly police who allowed fans into town & pubs, with no snarling dogs & riot gear.
A bit different from our first away match last time we were relegated when Preston police appeared to be expecting the full 1970s ICF to turn up.

I don't want to reinforce a stereotype but you do know that the end titles tend to come at the end don't you?

Just got back and really enjoyed the day, Thought we played well in parts but most the time we was lucky Doncaster was ****! Cole played well i thought, Piquionne..? where do i even start he is lazy and ****

Spoke to David Gold before the game he came out and had a chat with a couple of us, Asked if we had a good journey and how long did it take obviously i asked the obvious are we close to signing a new striker and his response was we have got our eyes on 3 strikers and our bid for Shane Long was shot down last min and was higher offer then West Brom, He just wanted Premiership football.

Fans were quality again today

A very forgettable game of football.

Piquionne, Ilunga and, dare I say it, Parker need replacing.

Good little day out though apart from the long walk from ground to station...

I thought MOTD concentrated on the EPL. The Football League show, which is on afterwards, is for everyone else isn't it?

Successfully holding a lead for 85 minutes. I knew Allardyce didn't understand the West Ham way.

I spoke to a Rovers fan after the game who said that this will probably be their biggest attendance of the season. He was pretty downbeat, but, like us, he keeps hoping, week after week. Mug. :)

 Treat people like adults, they act like adults. Nice to not be penned in after the game like we were at Hull City as well.

Crap game, got to be one of the worse I've seen for a long time

HIghlights, all the Donny birds dressed up at lunchtime for a day at the races and spoiling themselves rotten by having lunch in a wetherspoons, that said it wasn't at all bad for a spoons
