The problem with Cole is that his 3rd touch is to conrol it!

Re: Doncaster Rovers vs West Ham United: match thread
I only included Piquionne's loan season at Pompey. Just because Piquionne has only had one season with us, so I thought his previoius season (at the same level, after all) would help give a more reliable picture.Matt of iron wrote:
But why look at there stats at other clubs?
There West Ham ones show both in a similar light but I still prefer Cole

But using Cole's is a little unfair in that they were mainly sub appearances up and down the country on loan.Korea Hammer wrote:

Cole's stats are only with us, so not on loan.
I don't know how many were aas a sub, but I'd have thought not that many - he's been a regular starter for at least the last 3 seasons.

nothing less than a 0-7 scoreline will do today, even carlton should look good against this lot.

he said he played 4-3-3 last week.Het-Field wrote:Again, we have a far stronger side, on paper. In fact, the addition of Collision means our midfield is by far, the strongest ever fielded in the Championship.
I am not impressed that Sam has stuck with Piquionne in a 4-5-1 which proved so fruitless last week.

2.20pm - I should also mention that Pablo Barrera only arrived back from international duty with Mexico on Friday and was therefore not considered for selection today. West Ham, of course, travel to Watford on Tuesday evening and he could well be involved at Vicarage Road.DODGYDAL wrote:Anyone know where Barrera is?

In fairness, when you look at Carlton Cole, while his statistics probably justify the price paid for him in 2006, he has had two good seasons, two poor ones, and one awful one.
