Puff do you have the best sense of humour on the forum or are you challenging Macgill for the tag of best fisherman?
From one starting line up alone you drop Tomkins our best CB this season, who has been part of a team that has let 1 goal in this season (which wasn't his fault) .Also you drop Parker for a lightweight winger who has done nothing to deserve a start for us and to top that off you include a striker who is one of the best finishers in the league above us who would never come back here.

Tomka got injured to night didn't he ? ~ Hamstring weren't it ? which means he will ourt for about 3/4 weeks. Parker will be sold before the weekend as part exchange with Defoe. Scotty has played his last match for us.Hammer83 wrote:Puff do you have the best sense of humour on the forum or are you challenging Macgill for the tag of best fisherman?

Is Tomkins injured???
If that is the case, replace him with Faye. The rest of the team should remain the same.

Would be stupid to play any other team than the one that started today. unless of course we lose a player/injured (etc)...

Same team as today please. Sam doesn't like changing a winning team.
Faye for Tomkins if needs must but i really hope Tomkins is fit in time, as much as Faye is a fantastic defender, Tomkins has been a beast in the first 3 games.
Carew on bench instead of Piq. I'd like to see Pablo get a run out in this aswell.

Re: West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread
Seems obvious asking for more of the same after a 4-0 away win. I still think we lack a goalscorer, and I also think that having Parker, Noble, Nolan and Collison in the same midfield could leave us a bit one dimensional against some of the better teams (against the lesser teams that midfield is so good it shouldn't cause too many problems). Anyway, I can't see the Rotund one going 4-4-2 any time soon, so perhaps it's a question of which one of that four misses out for us to play Sears/Barerra/Faux Pas on the right wing (could well be Scotty)?

Re: West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread
gutted im missing this game after being at all 3 games so far, yet im at v festival so will have to keep an eye on the blower.
as mentioned by someone else, i reckon we might play better away this year too as teams attack us more. i remember the last 2 years in the championship (and similar to cardiff this season) where teams just come to upton park and park the bus for 90 mins, which leads to frustration and our fans getting on the teams back. i hope cardiff was just a blip, an early goal like the last 2 games will help.
2-1 west ham faye in for tompkins if injured, give barrera a run out in the second half

Tomkins had a chat after the game last night, showing on WHUTV, reckons he'll be fit for Sunday.

Hope everyone keeps their heads down and doesn't get carried away - last year a worse team than was playing last night beat Man U 4-0 and look how that turned out afterwards. So a grim 1-0 would do me just fine on Sunday

We've beaten what will probably be two relegation contenders so lets not get too carried away.
Leeds have some decent players in Gradel, Howson and Snodgrass and have got goals in them , so will be a real test but here's hoping we can do the business and Carew can get amongst the goals.
