Re: Millwall v West Ham Utd: match thread
Edit - I presumed he was injured as he didnt start and people were talking about having no defenders.
Re: Millwall v West Ham Utd: match thread
I thought Millwall showed a lot of effort but they are a poor team and we should have finished them off.
Let's hope that as Bentley and Baldock get into their stride we won't miss opportunities like this.
Green was very good again, the defence was very sound, though O'Brien had his hands full.
Noble took a while to get going and Nolan had very little influence on the game at all. Lansbury and Taylor were a bit uneven, we were too route one for them to get involved enough. Carlton did OK but wasn't winning anything in the air, so why we kept punting it to his head I don't know.
Fair result but we should have had three points.
Bloke next to me got cut by a coin but otherwise the animals stayed in their cage.

You're brave :lol:Sweeney Bod wrote: I am not trying to be argumentative but the atmosphere was nowhere near as intimidating as I thought it would be, and as I remembered it once was. And, as stated before, I was in the Millwall stand. Most of our players would have played in front of a far more intense crowd

just back, 3 hours from bermondsey to chiswick
we were poor today, nolan and noble were awfull all game long . Faye and Faubert played well. Thought baldock found some great space when he came on, shame our only game-plan seemed to be to lump it over his head. Couldnt see anyone in a west ham shirt who looked like they wanted to or would score.
ah well two poinsts a match will do

We were unlucky not to win. We play **** football to get out of this league.
In big Sam we trust.

Apparently, the reason for the poor atmosphere from the home fans was due to them being upset at the closure of Dale Farm this monday.

Just spent the afternoon reflecting on the result, and I'm actually quite pleased with the point. Lets just hope we do them at the Boleyn.

Decent away point. From listening to the radio it sounded a fair result though we should have probably won due to the better chances.

Re: Millwall v West Ham Utd: match thread
Made me laugh the last few days how many fans were so full of themselves 3-0 and 4-0 they expected is to win by, I thought we would just win but perhaps it learns us all a lesson it is not going to be a walk in the park! it just shows when we dropped back to fifth after the end of today's games and you look at the points Southampton are on and still a game in hand.
I agree with the comment from a few others that a few players have to raise their games a little and also that Nolan needs to push himself, if he wants to wear that captains band he needs to raise his game! we know he can do it, but he just does not seem to be doing it.

Poorest Millwall team i have seen us play and their fans were far from intimidating more laughable, our supporters wit will never be beaten against their child like chest thumping. The bloke in the pink shirt. what a tosser.

I knew we would draw this game!
Not a bad result by any means, and these sorts of games always seem to be the same. lets look forward now and concentrate on getting 3 points against Peterborough!! hope we smash the f*ckers to shut durham up!

Gladly have that point. Win the next two and we would have hit 10 points for the month again. COYI!

Re: Millwall v West Ham Utd: match thread
if we smash em, which i hope we do, it wont shut durham up, he will start bleating on about how parachute payments are an unfair advantage and with the high prices of tickets at The Boleyn we can afford better players so we should win against poor little teams like his blah blah blahwhufcspoon wrote:I knew we would draw this game!

'Welcome to Bandit Country'? A bunch of bandits for sure.
I'm sure I heard them clucking at half time.

Very poor performance from us but will take a point from the den. Still unbeaten away. Happy days
