Does anyone else think that the issue with Nolan could either be (a) People are expecting far too much from him, given his goalscoring record in the Championship & the praise lavished on him by BFS when he signed, or (b) As he is seen by the majority as Scotty's replacement, people are expecting the same kind of energy and performance that he produced, when he is in fact, he is a completely different kind of midfielder.
I can honestly say I did not know that much about him. I haven't followed his career and I have only seen him play when he has played against us at home, and even then, he has never put in a performance that I can recall. The only information I know about him, is what BFS has said and what was said on here about him when he signed. So for that reason I think I belong to group a. That said, I don't think he has been our worst performer this season thus far, but he is far from our best too. There probably is a lot more to come from him, but he has just joined a new club, has relocated to a new area, so it might take a couple of months for him fully shine. So lets give him a break for christ sake.
As someone else said, his leadership qualities are enough to keep him on the pitch for the foreseeable future imo. We haven't had that kind of leadership in years, and it is partly the reason we find ourselves in the situation we are currently in.
I can't understand the Ilunga or Faubert bashing over the last few years, because although, yes they are bad, we as supporters have a duty to get behind them and support them. Something which, if I'm not mistaken, us West Ham fans are famous for. But slagging of a new captain 7 games into a new season has to be a new low. Has everyone forgotten just how bad our last one was.....

Thats one thing that also pisses me off don't see the need. When i'm in the pub before a game having a beer and a sing song the last thing to cross my mind would be to get out my phone and start recording a load of blokes in a pub singing bubbles

I was on hol when the tickets were issued, sent my boy over to the ground with my printed e-mail confirmation and my season ticket card. They queried his age and wouldn't let him have the ticket, so I came home sat morning with no ticket for the match . Shot straight over to the ground, to be told I was too late. Club phoned me yesterday to ask why I hadn't used the ticket and to offer a re-fund.

Mrs Leg commented on the highlights that he was biting his lip whenever the camera went to him.
She may be on to something...
