Same 433 for me. Need Lansbury's & Faubert's pace in the side. Nolan is always a goal threat and is the skipper. Dangerous to rely on him & Noble in a 442 due to their lack of pace.

Peterboro shouldn't be able to live with us. And i am certain that Durham will say something anti-irons this week so that Sam can play it in the changing room to focus the team.

We could try 442 in this one.

Demel (O'Brien) - Tomkins (Reid) - Faye - McCartney
Lansbury - Nolan - Noble - Taylor
Baldock - Cole

Green
O'Brien Reid Faye McCartney
Diop
Bentley Nolan Taylor
Cole Baldock

Maybe Diop was brought in so that we can go 4-4-2 at home without fear of Nolan's lack of defending in the middle?

Are people dropping Faubert after his best performance in a West Ham shirt Saturday? Madness, keep him in, he seems to be getting better and better not just effort wise but technique and everything.

Nope, he's Sir Clive's brother.

Funniest thing is when people call him slow.

I watched the Football League Show last night and I have to say that I was impressed by Peterborough's striker, Sinclair. We will have to be very wary of him on Saturday.

Got a bad feeling about this game. We have struggled so far with teams that can attack...Cardiff, Leeds.

Losing Tomkins is a blow.

It sounds like Reid and Faye both played very well at the weekend. They are decent players who are more than capable at this level

There are worse players to get injured than Tomkins....

And who ever started that 'Injuries, what injures?' thread the other day is a ****ing ****er

When Faye played Saturday I was so sad that we didn't have him last year for Zigic, Davies and all the other crap aerial goals we gave away even to small players like Gabby Agbonlahor and Lee, playing Faye next to Reid might do him some good, lots of experience to give him and guide him through, also they worked okay on Saturday considering they've never played with each other and were thrust into a big game unexpectedly.

Pretty much what I would pick
I imagine Sam would have Nolan in for Collison, but like you I really haven't been impressed with Nolan as yet, and feel Collison's best position is the one Nolan has played so far

Posh seem to be a side that will come at us, so we need to have a bit of pace in attacking positions for when we catch them on the counter, but also need our midfielders to be able to track back and maintain a good shape when we don't have the ball. I dunno about Baldrick, in terms of pace, but I'd start Faubert on the right, Taylor on the left, and have a quicker player than Nolan behind the front two, be that Jack or Lansbury

Living peterboro it is a game we gotta win. I along with a large number of peterboro hammers will be training it there n back, plus with the bets i have had to have with some of the brave souls (after their 7 goals v ipitch) it may prove an expensive day out!!! FFS west ham if ever i need you to deliver it is on saturday. Lose and i am in hibernation. Win and i shall be gracious in victory......

That makes perfect sense to me, as does somebody who cross a ****ing football on the right too. But sadly it won't happen, I've never known BFS play anything else, other than 4-5-1

It's the formation of today, everyone's playing it

451 when the other team have the ball 433 when we have it. It makes perfect sence and with another few games under our belt I'm hoping we've mastered it

Peterborough on Saturady, the game I really wish I could be

Post by spanishhammer45 »

Living in Spain, I get to come back for about 15 games per year. Can´t make this week unfortunately but would love to be there to try and get 30,000 fans abusing the Peterborough chairman Darragh Macanthony.

Why´s that?

I worked for him at his company MRI Overseas Property and like hundreds of others was treated like ***** and was left being owed over 50k in commissions. The man is a cheating gipsy thief and now lives in Florida on the back of others´ money.

So Hammers fans, do me a favour, and let´s hear a resounding chorus of " Darragh Macanthony is a ****er"

Thanks in advance

Even though Nolan hasn't been at his best this year, I don't think it means we should drop him. He's dropped down a division at the height of his career to be re-united with bfs, he is a new captain of a new club, he has to have a long run of games before he settles and starts to really show why he's worth £4m, and why he deserves his place
