Re: West Ham Utd v Peterborough: match thread
I personally like the idea of using Diop as DM, just let him sit deep and do his wardrobe thing in front of the back floor and play passes out easy, letting the rest of the midfield spend more time on the attacking half of their game.
I think that can work equally well as a 4-1-3-2 (with any of Nolan, Lansbury, Faubert, Bentley, Taylor as the 3) or
4-1-4-1 (with Taylor out left, Nolan and Landsbury behind the front man and Bentley out right)
The 4-1-4-1 (or 4-5-1 if you like) looks almost more dangerous in terms of quality on the pitch
I wouldn't actually have Noble or Collison in either formation as first choice though, which is a bit of a shame but I think that the other players on option would be potentially more dangerous in the attacking 3rd
Expecting some abuse for not getting behind the homegrown here....

Re: West Ham Utd v Peterborough: match thread
I think we've looked at our most vulnerable when players like Gradel and Lawrence have run straight at the back four. Diop might prove to be the solution.

Quick question about the Ipswitch game (don't want to make a thread about it)
If i buy me tickets on friday (payday), will they get posted to me by tuesday?
Cheers.

Do not trust the ticket office to send you a letter bomb on time.Muddy wrote:Quick question about the Ipswitch game (don't want to make a thread about it)

Buy the tickets then go along early, go to the East stand ticket office which is always quieter and get the tickets there.
I only live in Essex but my tickets for the Aldershot game turned up 3 days after the game.

That's the thing about bloody weekdays, you can't turn up early, it's a rush after work lol.

he is / was / can still be.... crap. I would give any player the benefit of the doubt. Start him saturday and hook off if he reverts back to his old ways !!fmgod wrote:Are people dropping Faubert after his best performance in a West Ham shirt Saturday? Madness, keep him in, he seems to be getting better and better not just effort wise but technique and everything.

The result will not go the way the majority are confident about.

The big decision sam has to make is whether we change from our familiar 4 5 1 to a 4 4 2.I feel that at times we have to change our formation so we dont become predictable and this could be the game to do it.I feel in certain games at home we have to be more positive and creative in the team selection and our set up.B y changing formation even personel this will give the opposition much more to think about.

Lots of optimism it seems, which is good, provided people don't throw a fit if it goes a bit wrong. All of these so-called smaller teams will up the ante. Any win would be a good result, though I wouldn't be surprised at a draw. I'll say 2-1 win.

Sounds like a right result, you got to avoid a defeat by lower league opposition.Matt of iron wrote: I only live in Essex but my tickets for the Aldershot game turned up 3 days after the game.

After my life changing £1.14 win at the bookies from the Pompey win, I have the bug and have had a tickle on this match.

With Taylor whipping the corners in this season its always worth backing the center halfsLeonRivers wrote:After my life changing £1.14 win at the bookies from the Pompey win, I have the bug and have had a tickle on this match.

KUMB.com match preview now up. Sadly, Preview Percy is away again but John Nothcutt's stats make their first appearance (thanks John!) in a KUMB preview:
