It didn't stop him driving into the BG at roughly 2:45pm this afternoon...

Good today, wasn't it?

Much better .

They were in the PL last season apparently , but have the same soft underbelly this year as last .Southampton should be a cracker - they've got 5 straight wins at home , we've been ok away .

Bring it on .

One team with a 100 per cent record at home (five out of five) versus a team unbeaten away from home (11 points from a possible 15).

Our record won't be going. Theirs might.

We deserved the win, but scoreline flattered us IMO.

Won't be complaining though. We played some nice stuff at times.
There is absolutely no way that scoreline flattered us. We could have scored 3-4 more. While we mustn't get carried away, today was a top drawer performance.

I agree .I've had a peep at who they've actually beaten at home , and their stats don't look quite so impressive when the calibre of opposition is factored in . That's not to say they are in a flase position or anything, but this will be the biggest game at St Mary's this season .
Once again, our massive travelling support will be a factor - and they'll be travelling in good heart after todays result, and perrformance .

I've just read the match report on Kumb.com , and saw todays turnout - 31,000 odd .That sort of support deserves to be entertained - and today they were .

If anything, it flattered Blackpool. We were great, they were **** ... that's about the sum of it.

Carew missed two one-on-ones; Collison was through on goal before D'Urso performed the best example of defending by Blackpool all afternoon; we left Sam Baldock as our target man in a 4-5-1 for the last 20 minutes... und so weiter ...

We were exceptional today. Even Faye managed to beat three players with Messi-like footwork on the edge of our penalty box, for ****'s' sake...

Great performances all round today - team and manager. Blackpool were poor but we've made poor teams look good and given the points on numerous occasions. I hope Baldock goes on to be as prolific as we all thought - for his sake and ours. I like Carlton but Baldock and Carew looked great today! As did Reid and Tomkins. Faubert's cross for Carew was sublime!

Almunia's distribution was good although he didn't have much to do! It'll be a big test for him against Southampton - I'm confident he'll do well!

What was the crack with 'Jesus'?
I saw the Chicken Run (TB corner) having a bit of fun and heard the 'What's The Score My Lord...What's The Score.....

I'm assuming there was a Blackpool fan that vaguely resembled a biblical character.

Anyway, superb day today. Could have had 8 or 9!
