so, reverse psychology DOES work!?

blackpool were tragically bad , really- even worse than millwall, imho.

Thougyt carew looked sharp and his partnership with baldock

Loving the pace of baldock. the "no, not past me" of diop.

bring on the soton!

I followed your thought process and put some good money on a Blackpool win.

However don't mind this one bit, win win afaic

Happy for Jack, Carew & Baldock getting some much needed minutes and goals.

Shows we got a few strings to play on

Overall I am happy with the result and the performance - which to my eyes looked thoroughly professional , with the players who were given jobs undertaking the Managers instructions to the letter .

Carew , my MotM , and Baldock worked well as a pair , but it should be noted Blackpool were poorly organised at the back .Diop bossed the pitch in front of our back four , and he too was in with a good shout as MotM .Nolan had, for my money , his best game in a West Ham shirt - a little leaner , and with a specific job to do , he performed well , although I feel his lashing out at team mates to be a little over done .He played deeper today, and pressed the opposition to force an error - and with two up top his presence was not required too often in the oppositions penalty box .

Collison had a decent game, as did Faubert - who despite getting caught out a couple of times looked fine .

The Manager got his substitutions spot on , we scored four, kept a clean sheet and entertained the crowd .On the front foot from the first minute , we never looked in danger , and the only reservation I would have today is to remember we were playing a powder puff Blackpool - but there's nothing our Manager can do about that .

His team, though did, slotting four goals, and creating enough chances for another couple , past them .

We'll see some changes for the away game on Tuesday no doubt, and that, to me, would be entirely correct .

"On the front foot from the first minute"?

Don't think so....the goal was out of the blue and things looked grim that first 12 minutes.

I don't agree .We were positive in intent form the first minute - doesn't mean we were bossing things, but we were trying to do the right thing .

Diop looked like the black Parker for a minute with his twisting skills.

Just got in now.Great day out,and felt it was a great team performance.Sam got his tactics spot on.Did notice Nolan guiding players in to close Blackpool down and give them little space.
Some appauling refereeing though.

Just back from the game and I live in Willesden Green! Took my disabled godson to the game via car, as it was his first live game of football and he was super excited. Glad the boys didn't disappoint. I must say all the stewards were top draw and very helpful, especially the guy who let us move from behind the goal at pitch level to a much better vantage point.

Thought Baldock was very imprressive, quick minded and always looked dangerous and linked well with Carew, who was immense. Our keeper had nothing to worry about all day. Granted Blackpool were piss poor, but you can only beat what is put in front of you.

Take the confidence into the next x2 games which will be a damn side tougher.

I was speaking to a guy outside the ground. He said that Cole had a foot injury. I don't know how ITK he was though

carew getting wrestled to the ground and a foul given the other way first half; the stamping on diop second half. wtf!!

Add to that four or so VERY VERY tight offside calls. beyond ****ing pony!

The Collison one made me lose it.

I am normally fairly calm but I somehow punched my brother in the face and drop my sausage roll in anger.
