What makes you say Baldock was sh*t? He looked our most lively player

Piq, Nolan, Noble, Cole and Faubert all had decent chances in the second half. It was a f***ing shame one of them didn't fall to him
I thought one of them did fall to him? One of our best, which he blazed over the bar.

Lively doesn't really mean much, does it?

I think Dioup coming on was right..he bought some composure, apart from one 35 yard shot, which freed Noble, who nearly converted a near post header.

We never looked like scoring and I reckon Bristol City worked their socks off preventing any real chances. Sears was poor imo.

The apparent effort that Piq put in reminded me of an extra from the walking dead, just didn't seem bothered to chase anything. Sears aint a left winger, had a few good games last year on the right though, didn't work out tonight. We seem screwed if Carew aint there and that is a worry.

we are still 2nd, and we'll do Hull.

QPR got 16 of them last season, including 9 at home. Norwich got 15.

Although i am unhappy with the result tonight, realistically, we wont win every game we should. As Sam has been saying, when we can't win, we shouldn't lose and at least tonight we didn't do that.

Sears was always going to be poor on the left, he isn't a left winger by any step of the imagination.

For me tonight it meant he was trying to be creative in tight situations and to get behind the back four with very limited delivery. I thought he was the "liveliest" and gave a good amount of effort. No complaints

Re Sears..Even when he was in his preferred central position his decisions were all wrong.

Thats the crux of it really, you can try and make excuses, but we should be good enough to beat this lot and we weren't.

How can Mark Noble ALWAYS be available for an out ball, and generally receive it yet there is no other **** making space in the same way?

This stat doesn't hide an obvious lack of cutting edge/pace/width in the team, wish he would stop hiding behind facts he aint kidding any body.

Just simply worrying

That horrible arrogance coming through again

Fair enough we have a few injuries but every team in league would love to have our squad.

Not really a Sam hater, but he seems to be coming across like a right arrogant **** here. It makes you wonder if he could ever admit to making a mistake :thdn:

If Baldock did have a chance the fair enough, I didn't see it. All I know is we looked like scoring when he was pulling defenders backwards and forwards. I hate watching us play without a single ounce of pace in the side, which was certainly the case when he and Sears left the pitch

But then that's Fat Sam for you

We really must start with Noble and Dioup if only to reduce the number of passengers in the midfield .

Nolan,Sears,Faubert, Collison none of them productive enough.

Nobody worked harder than Freddie Sears tonight. If his shot that hit the post had gone in, who knows what would have happened after?

Fine margins...

Totally agree, some people around me started slagging the team off after ten minutes because we hadn't scored. Even heard a few moans that we weren't stuffing them after 60 minutes.

Tonight was one of those nights...

As my old man said, "fans that come now have to much expectation and expect us to batter every team they think we should beat, well, in my 40 years of supporting this club I can remember at least two games a season where we should have won but haven't."

I think some of our fans need to realise they support what could be called a yo-yo club not a team from Manchester...

Is a shadow of the player we had when he was being coached by Zola, has added very little up front so far this season, Palace away being the best example I can give, such a change in the team when Carew came on for him. Maybe because of the style that we play nowdays, I don't know, he aint the same though.
