Wasn't that cold! :lol:brownout wrote:Just got home.
Excellent trip and result.
Probably the first of the better teams we've beaten this season and to win away on a freezing night in the north is a good sign - just not what West Ham do!
Does anyone know how many West Ham were there - I reckoned about 1,500.

I'm pretty sure WestHamAirdrie was wearing flip-flops, shorts and a Hawaiin shirt.brownout wrote:Cold for us southerners - I did see a Boro fan in a Tshirt though.

All that was missing was some sangria.

1,200 or 1,500, that is superb support in my opinion..
I doubt even Chelsea would take up anywhere near that to Sunderland on a Tueday night in November..
Leeds took half of West Yorkshire to Nottingham though i believe..

Re: Middlesbrough v West Ham Utd: match thread
Just looked through Middlesbroughs match reports of all their home games this season. Only us and Leicester have gone up there on a weeknight (Leicester took 600+), Blackpool took the most up there with just over 1900 but that was a saturday afternoon. Shows how great our support is really, I doubt many clubs would take 1200 up there on a saturday let alone a tuesday.

Re: Middlesbrough v West Ham Utd: match thread
Reading through some of the posts since the match....
can't believe there are people suggesting we were a bit quiet!!
I was 4 rows from the front and from where I was all I could hear was noise from us! For most of the 2nd half it was an endless stream of "we're all west hams claret n blue arm" It's the best away support I've experienced for a few years
Admittedly it went a bit quiet at the start of the 2nd half where we were after my mate dropped his arse leaving the vilest smell in the air I've ever smelt....and thats saying something considering we were in Boro!!!! Never seen so many people at a football match gagging from the smell of a fart before!

Re: Middlesbrough v West Ham Utd: match thread
This has probably been mentioned but i have just remembered.
Can someone explain to me why, when we were defending corners the player we left furthest forward was Diop?

Think we'll win this one. If I was gonna make a prediction think I'd stick my neck out and say 2-0 to the hAmmers.
