Thought Tomka was superb last night..really looks on top of his game and my only worry is we'll lose him !
Demel looked like he's been playing all season long..very assured and will be a star on this showing..
Greeno pulled off a great save first half when he needed to, apart from that I cant recall him having alot to do
Midfield won us the game- we were superb from the off and at times played some frankly breath-taking football really moved the ball around well with options all over the park.

IM LOVING THIS!!!

Great to meet everyone and thx to Romford for the hotel - was just the job and Hartlepool is a cracking little town-cant think we'll be back here next season tho!
good stuff W4..Safe journey back to sunny chiswick !!

Yes, North West. Everywhere's the North West, as far as I'm aware.

I meant North East, and am about to edit my post so as to not look like quite so much of a ****wit.

If its time to sing Big Sams name can we please leave out the FAT bit? Its not funny.

On the support, overall I thought it sounded pretty good on the radio. A couple of lulls though. Didn't hear "we're winning away..."

Can I just say how much I enjoy 'The Opposition View' feature- keep it going.
It reminds us just how blinkered we fans are. All of us.

It's very good, though it does suprise me how bitter fans can get. Take this little gem for example -
"We ruined it for ourselves in the first 10 minutes by giving them too much respect and letting them score. We were playing in fear after kick-off, and they punished us. They obviously had the game plan of getting the early goal and sitting back on it, and it worked. Totally ruined the game as a spectacle, but then what do you expect from one of Big Sam's teams."

First oppo I've had to comment on last nights game

Superb night to be honest.

We really didn't look troubled by Boro at all barring a couple of shots which Green dealt with brilliantly in the first half. Second half he simply had to deal with getting the ball from the ball boy...that was it. We looked solid at the back.

Faubert for me was MOTM. Never stopped running and covered a huge amount of the pitch. Tracked back as extra cover when needed and went forward at will. He almost looked like a centre forward at times! At times he had acres of space but didn't get the ball he needed played through to him

Negatives? Noble, especially in the 2nd half, looked lost. Piq, despite the goal seemed to lack pace and on a couple of occassions was 1 on 1 with the last defender but chose to turn his back to goal and hold play up. Oh and we seemed intent on playing mostly down the left. And that was it really! Nothing really earth shattering poor to be honest

Nolan was a rock in midfield. There were some crunching tackles in there. Tomkins looked solid too.

As for the Boro.....apart from the kids in the corner, their support was dreadful. Our lot made noise from KO right through. Great support. "Is there a fire drill" being sang to them as they streamed out made me chuckle!

As did the sight of the kids from the corner giving it the biggun to our lot coming out of the stand from behind a line of stewards and hearing one of our fans shouting "aaaaw look at them. They're only 12!!!"

The best result of the season so far

Clean sheet and 3 points away from home against promotion rivals.

Whats even more impressive is that 3 weeks before Christmas, on a Tuesday night in the North East ….. over 1400 piled in the away end. Fuckin superb. We aint even a PL club no more …… be interested to see the numbers L’Arse, Spuds and Chelski take to Newcastle and Sunderland this season (Or last for that matter),

Just got home.
Excellent trip and result.
Probably the first of the better teams we've beaten this season and to win away on a freezing night in the north is a good sign - just not what West Ham do!
Does anyone know how many West Ham were there - I reckoned about 1,500.

 We did well eh.

Just back to Glasgow just now I've had half an hours sleep and I'm nursing the worlds most horrific hangover even speaking is to much of an effort.

Brilliant night! got a cracking laugh on the train from Boro - Newcastle after the game with the other West Ham fans who were on the train.

Can't wait to make another trip down south.

COYI!!!!
