Re: Middlesboro v West ham United Match Thread
I know it's not Burke and Wills trek to the red centre of Australia, but I've already got bored on the train. It's dropped by 4 degrees and we haven't even reached Stevenage.

I think Diop might come back in for this - for his strength and energy - put Carlton up front alone and then add Piq/Carew as required

Mid week evening in the cold and rain in the dreary north, well really gents there can only be one possible outcome and it don't warm you up on the way home. Much respect to the travlling supporters.

Re: Middlesboro v West ham United Match Thread
Carew is now confirmed as injured, as is Baldock. With only two fit senior strikers remaining, it's a 100% certainty BFS will only play one of them at a time, particularly since he seems pretty convinced we actually score more as a 4-5-1/4-3-3 than we do playing 4-4-2.
I'd expect the starting striker to get subbed at the hour mark and Diop to come back into midfield, ditto Taylor, giving one of the starting four from Saturday a rest. So ...
Green
O'Brien
Faye
Tomkins
McCartney
Diop
Noble
Nolan
Faubert
Cole
Taylor
Subs:
Stech
Demel
Collison
Sears
Piquionne

Joey - Tomkins -Faye - McCartney

Faubert - Nolan - Noble -Taylor*
--------------------Cole
Collison for Taylor if not fit to start. Diop back in for some steel and protection. Back to 1 up top. Keep it tight. And nick it 1-0.

Re: Middlesboro v West ham United Match Thread
A BFS 4-5-1 written all over this game with Diop to come in. He will obviously say it's a 4-3-3 though
Re: Middlesboro v West ham United Match Thread
I'd have to say I'd be pleased with a point tonight and then steamroller Burnley on Saturday at home.
Although knowing West Ham it will probably be the other way around!!

Doctor Browns isn't by the station. It is opposite Cineworld. A lot of people will be there. I will be somewhere nicer.w4hammer wrote:well, as i look out the train window- it's sunny and far from grim..mind you we're only at Newark..

Re: Middlesboro v West ham United Match Thread
It's blowing a f*cking gale up here at the moment! Thankfully it looks like I'm at the back of the stand tonight!!!
First match since Sunderland away last season (Thank you Mr Cameron!)....
It's going to be a tough'un but Boro's leaky defence heartens me. A draw I'll be happy with, although I do fancy us for the win
2-1

Now on slowest train outside of the Indian subcontinent. Left a food dump at Thirsk for the return leg, but like Scott beginning to fear I have passed the point of no return...
Shame you couldn't make it.
