West Ham Utd 1 Burnley 2 (03/12/11)

Re: West Ham Utd v Burnley: match thread
I hope there wasn't booing today. It's about time people realised that we're doing bloody well and are a very hard team to play against. Southampton will fade and I do think we'll finish first but even if we don't, it's not that bad is it? We're second, have the best defence in the league and there's a feel good factor within the club with incredible team spirit.

well it's inevitable we're going to have a few off games - home form is still frustrating though we really need to get it sorted because we're dropping far to many points at home then we should be.

They also had a very lucky result against Brighton and had to come back to beat Hull.cornishiron wrote:Southamptom's bubble has burst,,,, two consecutive defeats againts bottom three teams
They're certainly not the force they were before November.
The christmas period is going to prove who has the battling mentality to win this league. We've already proved that somewhat as we're still secure in second without playing our best this season.

Look we all know that West Ham don't win 5 in a row, we also know that if West Ham gets a surprising and unexpected good result in the week, it means that they will lose the so-called 'easy' weekend game - it always happens. So I just thought I'd win an easy £50 nothing wrong with that.

Home form.
Bah humbug.
Mind you-I would also have a **** every time I ran out and I was faced by the KUMB match forum mentality multiplied to the power of 10. I'd look up and just see 20 000 head banging emoticons screaming at me in schoolboy cap letters and the other 5000 giving me a big one cos they put a tenner on us to lose.
Dyers Leg in.

Maybe its just me then, but I could never find myself cheering when we go 2-1 down and wanting it to stay that way for the sake of 50 notes, when we have a chance of going top of the league - bad darts IMOsjb958 wrote:Look we all know that West Ham don't win 5 in a row, we also know that if West Ham gets a surprising and unexpected good result in the week, it means that they will lose the so-called 'easy' weekend game - it always happens. Yes, but nobody likes a smartarse, particularly one that bets against his team.sjb958 wrote:Look we all know that West Ham don't win 5 in a row, we also know that if West Ham gets a surprising and unexpected good result in the week, it means that they will lose the so-called 'easy' weekend game - it always happens. Good to hear that about Nolan, he's really in form at the moment and long may that continue!Muddy wrote:that was the most involved ive seen nolan all season. Cole was shocking though.
Apparently Carlton injured his back second half Muddy, shed any light?

Just a case of not taking our chances and a lack of concentration. The overall performance was good so it doesn't concern me. On another day we could've had 5. Onwards and upwards. COYI
