Re: Birmingham v West Ham United match thread
I'd agree it's a must win but I'd take a draw from this after last week at Reading and with the state of the squad at the minute, I'll go 1-1 and hope that I am wrong my heart say's 3-0 but my head is saying a draw.

Re: Birmingham v West Ham United match thread
Looking forward to this one. First Boxing Day game ever for me cause it's the first time there's been one local for me. Walk from the station to the ground is always 'entertaining' at some point.
I think it probably will be a draw, but wouldn't it be great to stick it to them after collapsing against them three times last season?

Need to see who is available before predicting team
Guess that lansbury and JOB will be available for 90.
Specs to score the winner seems irritatingly probable though. Get the feeling he's respectful enough not to celebrate though.
P.S Carlton to score.

Hope he comes over and claps us at some point. Would be nice to get a chance to show him some appreciation. One of the few who came out of last season with something to be proud of. Real honest professional who worked his arse off for us every time he got an opportunity and improved so much as a result. Still can't believe we let him go.bubbles1966 wrote: Specs to score the winner seems irritatingly probable though. Get the feeling he's respectful enough not to celebrate though.

Young Danny Potts's wasn't the only promissing debut today. What about Tiddles wide right ? that lad has blistering pace. I would find a spot for him too

Worried about this one Watched Birmingham during the week The kid Redmond will skin Linda if he is selected over Potts and dont forget that long streak of piss they have for a centre forward.

Re: Birmingham v West Ham United match thread
I am going for a decent 1-1 draw. Carlton Cole to score our goal.
Re: Birmingham v West Ham United match thread
Would love to stick it to these c**** after last season but I would happily take the draw.
If we get a draw here and beat Derby then we will be 1 point under 2 points a game which would be good going into 2012.
I'm gonna plump for an 2-2 draw.

Crucial we keep the pressure on Soton and keep Middlesbrough behind us. If there is a game to respect the point, this is it, but I'm equally convinced we can get a win up there...a hard fought 1-2

Re: Birmingham v West Ham United match thread
be a question of who is fit for this match as at the end of the Barnsley match this was who is available
in defence:
O'Brien
Tomkins
McCartney
Potts
in midfield:
Noble
Diop
Nolan
Lansbury
in attack:
Piq
Cole
Sears
Move diop to cb, go 4-3-3?

Dan, just so you know, if we don't win it will be all your fault.
Re: Birmingham v West Ham United match thread
West Ham have never won when I have started a match thread, I was thinking the law of averages mean we'll have to win one one day :lol:EvilC wrote:Dan, just so you know, if we don't win it will be all your fault.

David Gold reckons Faubert, Faye and Carew will all be available for this, he also said Taylor should be.AJ wrote:be a question of who is fit for this match as at the end of the Barnsley match this was who is available
That being the case, the squad picks itself.
Green, O'Brien, Faye, Tomkins, Potts; Noble, Nolan, Diop; Faubert, Taylor, Cole
Bench: Stech, Piq, Carew, Sears, Lansbury
Linda is apparently banned for this one.
Worst case scenario would be Taylor wont make the starting 11, if so i'd stick Lansbury in behind Cole.
I think we've seen the worst of our injury problems and it would be incredibly unlucky to get the same again.
