b***ocks to all this resting people. It's the FA Cup for christ sakes, strongest 11 and go out there to win the f***ing thing, not just make up the numbers.

We never won it in 80 by resting players, so why all this sh*t now?

It's true we never won it by resting players . It's also true it most certainly cost us promotion that year.

We ended up with a backlog of games in April /May that we could'nt cope with .

Times change and it's far more important now to get promotion than a nice day out at Wembley.

Who cares? 32 years later, we're still talking about that FA Cup win, when was the last time you heard our failure to get promoted that season mentioned?

Not me . I was ecstatic that day at winning the cup .

I'm just making the point that clubs see it different nowadays and promotion is far more important than a cup run.

Speak for yourself.

If it was a choice between getting to the final or getting up, I know what I'd choose.

You misunderstand me.

I'm with you on whats more important now. I was making the point that 30 years ago clubs did'nt see it that way

Isn't Montano still with D&R?

I'd start with Nouble - Carew - Hall as a front three.

Not sure, but IMO he shouldn't be whilst we are so short at left wing.

I don't like the modern trend of playing strikers out wide just because they're nippy. Whilst I appreciate that for some it is their natural game (Agbonlahor), for others it could seriously hamper their development: for example, you wouldn't expect much if you played Defoe wide left.

Should be enough to turn Wednesday over.

Correct Leon, he has been training with us today as we have requested he doesn't play in the FA cup for them

Not really bothered about this game. For me its all about the league this year.

All I hope for is that those going to the game have a cracking day out and see a good performance.
