Re: Portsmouth vs West Ham United: match thread
No chance the fat one will go with a 4-4-2. That will mean our best finisher will be playing in from the left again.

Re: Portsmouth vs West Ham United: match thread
Last game v Coventry, Baldock played up top with Cole in a 4-4-2 diamond. Unfortunately in that game both players looked a little rusty, Cole fatigued from the start and Baldock just coming back from injury. With Taylor still out Sam will probably deploy the same formation as it worked well v Coventry.stubbsy07 wrote:No chance the fat one will go with a 4-4-2. I agree with the diamond, but this is an away game & there is very little chance of us seeing it.indiehammer wrote:

I reckon we've got more chance of seeing Frank out left instead of Baldock with Faubert at RB pushing forward and providing our " width " in place of JOB

Whoever we play we'll set up negatively and play dreadful football.

Going to this one, don't want to see 4-5-1, I would like to see 4-4-2 with the diamond but I reckon Big Sam will go 4-5-1 anyway.

Updated it for you.TomoIrons wrote:Ding ding ding, we have a winner!
Re: Portsmouth vs West Ham United: match thread
They have a decent first eleven and with all the cloud over their team and finances, a lot of their players will be trying to impress this month to get a move, this should be a good game.
Re: Portsmouth vs West Ham United: match thread
Quite possibly. They have a better home record than we do. A draw will be ok, a win will be difficult. With our current difficulties in front of goal I think 1-1 is likely.Chrissieboy wrote:A win for Pompey sadly.

If Rhodes starts, I think we'lll win this by at least 3 clear goals.

Re: Portsmouth vs West Ham United: match thread
I did think that after i posted. I'm not sure we'll see Frank, i can't help but think his 25 min cameo against SW was last chance saloon. I can see Collison out on the left with Diop coming in midfield. Suss Pompey out a bit, then bring Hall/Baldy on second half to have a run at them.Bobby Orangeboom wrote:

Mullins to win the midfield battle, but we will nick this 2-1, with a goal each half.
Nolan and Baldock.

Re: Portsmouth vs West Ham United: match thread
Having just thrown the FA Cup and rested our key players for a fortnight, I expect nothing less now than a comfy win. If not, yesterday was a complete and utter waste of time and money.
