But an unmatchfit Faye, having only just returned from injury, I think we'd be better off with him on the bench, at least for this game. I think it'd be harsh to drop Reid now.stubbsy07 wrote: Because Faye is better.

Only one team has scored more than us in the entire league.Puff Daddy wrote:We don't score that many goals.

We scored plenty in the first few months. December was a really bad dry spell though, which is why people think we don't score as many. Once we get Taylor back, and play a bit wider and faster, the goals will pick up again.

Yep i believe so too, if he comes back any time soon of course.Lincolnhammer92 wrote:Once we get Taylor back, and play a bit wider and faster, the goals will pick up again.
But Taylor can't be relied on, he doesn't play enough for whatever reason.
Re: West Ham v Nottingham Forest match thread
Have to attack Forest. Defense is there weakness so im sure we will play with 2 upfront at home. Wouldnt mind pushing Reid to RB. O'Brien is still the weak link in our defense. Also would like to free Reid up to go forward for set pieces more. The standout feature in his game IMO from the World Cup with New Zealand was more his attacking play from set pieces for mine. Id like to see
Green
Reid Tomkins Faye McCartney
Faubert Nolan Noble Collison
Baldock Cole
Think we will have a new signing to bring off the bench by then. If not id like to see Hall come out and play on the left for Collison if we are chasing the game

We could have Chambers Potts as a defensive pairing.

Re: West Ham v Nottingham Forest match thread
We've become unpredictable recently. We of course should be beating the team our closest rivals have just beaten, but our form rarely makes for such easy predictions.
If the word from the away end yesterday stands as true - and why wouldn't it? - we've got a great keeper who is generally adequately protected, but problems with creativity, pace and passing accuracy.
Sam's probably going to go closer to 4-4-2 than 4-5-1 at home, but, perhaps as a minority voice, is it actually sensible to be offloading Piquionne, if no replacement of his ilk isn't coming in? Cole can't apparently be relied on to shoot us out of the division and, as much as we all seem to want Lil Sam to get much more pitchtime, he still needs a taller foil from whom to time off his clever runs.
Fingers crossed for another three points, but this wouldn't be the first home game against relegation candidates that ended differently.

Hope to see a good win, 4-4-2 go right at them, Sam Baldock playing from the start, 3-0 West Ham.

West Ham 2 Nottingham Forest 1.
Baldock and Noble for us and as he's an ex-West Ham player it's bound to be Marlon who gets Forest's goal

But young Winston's drawn two penalties and had a guy sent off in his first 2 games back. With our popgun attack this pretty much makes him our biggest attacking weapon :lol:stubbsy07 wrote:Because Faye is better.

They look awful at the moment. Expect us to grind out another 1-0 win in unspectacular style.

Another so called easy home game with the sh*t attitude home supporters getting on the players back if they are not leading by at least 2 after 20mins making their voices heard.
It's not our home form that's sh*t it's the expectancy of our support that is.

Re: West Ham v Nottingham Forest match thread
Me and the other half's first game this season (and for some time before)... Getting train back from Paddington... You folks reckon the tube is a better bet to station or bus? usually takes some time to get out of UP.... Last time I walked to Stratford and tubed fom there... Any advice gratefully received ladies & gents
As for the game - I would presume that Sam will play Baldock from the off with Cole and I'll go 3-1 us.
Tickets in BML - Very excited

The sooner people relise this and get off the backs of the players, the better. Like my mate said yesterday, he understands the fans feed of the players and the players feed of the fans, but it's easier for the fans to start making positive noise to help the players, not booing and slagging them off at any opportunity.Side of Ham wrote:It's not our home form that's sh*t it's the expectancy of our support that is.

Why is there so much negativity? A 1 - 0 win is still 3 points and we are second from the top, not second from the bottom!!
