Peterborough Utd V West Ham Utd: MATCH POSTPONED (11/02/12)
V
London Road Stadium, Peterborough
Sat Feb 11th, 3PM KO.
Top of the table West Ham take a 4 point lead over second place Southampton going in to this away fixture at London Road against Darren Ferguson's men, who are currently lying in a lowly 18th place.
The result of the Upton Park fixture was a West Ham win, with Mark Noble converting from the spot with the only goal of the game.
West Ham have lost only one in their last 5 games in the league, a humiliating 5-1 thrashing by Ipswich at Portman Road. The result was quickly forgotten after West Ham beat arch rivals Millwall 2-1 at The Boleyn Ground last time out, with goals from Top Scorer Carlton Cole, and a scorcher of a volley from New Zealand International defender Winston Read
Both clubs are new-boys to the Championship, with Peterborough being promoted via the play-offs last season.
West Ham could give first starts to recent signings Nicky Maynard and Ricardo Vaz Te, the latter making a fleeting appearance against Millwall to make his Hammers debut.
Not done one for a while, so let's get another run going.
A convincing away win, Maynard and Vaz Te on the score-sheet.
One in the chops for Adrian Durham

Re: Peterbro United Vs West Ham United Match Thread
This whole "certain match thread starters are lucky" thing is getting ridiculous, I'm sure with some posters theres not even a hint of irony

Re: Peterbro United Vs West Ham United Match Thread
After today I think we should begrudgingly keep Faubert in the team on the right and put Taylor in for Nolan and have Collison in the middle with Noble. I dont have a problem with keeping to the Tomkins in midfield experiment. Faye or Reid are both undroppable in their own ways.
Re: Peterbro United Vs West Ham United Match Thread
Just realised 7 days till Peterboro away............perhaps we may use it usefully.

I'd have Reid up front
Jokes aside, I agree with this... Hopefully the exclusion of Nolan for the next three games will actually give us something different (better).

----------------------Green---------------------
Demel----Tomkins-----Reid-----Taylor
Faubert---Noble---Collison---Vaz Te
-------------Cole------Maynard------------
Keeper, Faye, Diop, Lansbury, Baldock
That is a team some PL clubs would be jealous of.

Re: Peterborough United Vs West Ham United Match Thread
Going into this six points clear of 3rd, four clear of 2nd and playing against a team who haven't scored two goals in a game in their last ten outings....
This is an opportunity to really turn the screw on the teams behind us and make the Southampton game that follows one where a draw would be perfectly ok for us.

It doesn't matter, the only threat to this fixture will be a waterlogged pitch after the big thaw.kenthammer wrote:Anyone know if they have undersoil heating at London Rd?
