Saturday 25th February 2011, Boleyn Ground, Upton Park, E13 K.O. 12:45

Live, Sky Sports 2

REVERSE FIXTURE: 1st October 2011 Crystal Palace 2-2 West Ham United

West Ham go in to this game on a high, having recovered from a 5-1 thumping at Ipswich, to bag 7 points from the last 3 games, which included a 4-1 thrashing away thrashing of Blackpool, that having been reduced to 10 men with the sending off of Robert Green while at 2-1 A good return it itself, but having played almost 2 1/2 matches with ten men makes the feat even more impressive, and has taken them 1 point clear at the top, with a game in hand, over nearest rivals Southampton.

Hammers Captain Kevin Nolan will be missing as he serves the last of his 3 match ban for seeing red against Millwall. Matt Taylor is also sitting out the 2nd game of his 3 match ban, after hastily being given his marching orders in the 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Robert Green will be able to take up his usual spot between the sticks, having seen the red card he picked up against Blackpool earlier in the week was overturned by The FA.

New signings Nicky Maynard and Ricardo Vaz Te both scored their first goals in the mauling of Blackpool, and both pushing to start against the eagles.

Crystal Palace currently sit in 13th place in the table, ten points outside of the play-off spots. The last time these two clubs were in the championship, they faced each other in the play-off final in Cardiff, with Palace gaining the richest prize in sport thanks to a 61st Minute Neil Shipperley goal.

Palace are also on a high, after beating Watford 4-0 last time out, although that victory has the dubious honour of being their sole league win in 2012, having drawn 4 and lost the other 3.

Man to watch:

Wilfried Zaha

A tricky striker who is likely to keep The Hammers back 4 on their toes.

(with thanks to Dyer's Leg)

Quite right. An extremely poor and ill thought out opening post.

I was going to start it, but was waiting for Bobby O, see if he was going to keep his run going.

Stratford out.

*winky thing*

Back to the subject....I wonder if Faye is fit for this one after limping out of last night's game? If Faye is fit, I would go with the same starting line up but with Stech in goal. (I am sorry but we cannot risk Boffin, regardless of any extra fee we would owe Sparta Prague. If Stech is good enough to be at the club, be prepared to cough up the wonga if he plays twice more).

If Faye isn't fit...Tomka back into defence next to Reid....time to introduce the Ravel Banter Bus and push Collison back a little....

My first since Birmingham last season. I'm looking forward to it greatly, but of course, I know I will end up disappointed with the result.

Can't wait for this now. I'll be there for this one with my old man and my son. Travelling up from south wales with most of the country seeing it's also the rugby and Carling Cup final weekend as well. I'm in top form this morning following that cracking result last night. COYIs! :crest:

Is Reid available for this? Could be without both him and Faye which could put a dampener on things

Tomkins and George John at the back?

I would start with the usual permitted X1 players and then after approx. 10 minutes, take a player off

Not a bad idea. Take off Faubert and just say he had to go home early, he had a dental appointment.
