Thanks for the report Pink, some good, positive stuff there.

Nice to hear Nolan having a second good game in succession.

Does anyone else think we should have Ravel Morrison on the bench we needed a spark tonight :eh:

Best part of the game tonight was their player being unable to take a throw in.

I do wish people would stop moaning about 'booing' with some holier than thou attitude. When is a 'boo' not a 'groan'? When is a 'groan' not a 'sigh'? I rarely intentionally boo the team, but I do give out involuntary groans. When Nolan won MOTM so the sponsors could get his autograph, I sort of laughed/gasped and added to what was later called disgraceful booing.

It's also more common at these 'kids for a quid/adults for a score/season ticket holders for a ride' games when 5,000 or so people come for a bit of rough. When we get to the O.S. they'll be 30,000 of 'em baying for 8:0 victories.

Big Sam said in the presser after the game that if we had Lambert up front we'd have won the league by now. He's not happy with his forwards.

For the record, both Maynard and Wee Sam were poor tonight

Faubert awful
Cole pretty bad
Maynard off the play
Otherwise not so bad - but we still hoofed it instead of building possession.
Should have won but some very poor finishing, good keeping and dogged defending kept us at bay.
We need more creativity and a bit more pace. So Baldock and Vaz Te should start (perhaps more Lansbury and even Ravel).
Play Nolan where he wants to be or not at all.
(I think that means 4-2-2-2)
I thought we were going to storm the second half after the first five minutes but the long injury break allowed them to re-group and they defended better afterwards. A very good goal by them and some lax shooting by us.
I repeat. Faubert is dreadful and should be kept off the pitch.

Drives me mad when people just say "one of those nights"

It is alright every now and again but there has been so many times this season where it has been said.

Its just "one of those nights" all added up which is why we will finish in the play offs Headbanger

It has been one of them ****ing nights every single midweek home game this season. As I play football myself on a Saturday they are the only games I get to go to. It's getting beyond a joke now

And before someone says it, no I won't stop going

Is that the same Sam that bought Maynard, Carew, Baldock and Vas Te.... and the same Sam that allows the team to punt long balls to Maynard and Baldock when the opposition centre backs think "thank you"?

Ok, I'll take your views on board and if we see a similar performance on Saturday I'll refer to it as" one of those days" .

He'd have been more accurate if he'd said Lambert instead of himself...

Contract up on 1/7. I've got a bottle on ice.

Worse distribution than the Somalian postal service.

I thought wee Sam was alot sharper and livelier than Maynard, and wee Sam set faubert up nicely only for frogbert to fire over the crossbar.

Don't think Lambert would be much better dealing with balls being flown like rockets up in the air towards his asshole or bonce than most of our lot, to be honest.

Infact, I think that's quite a poor excuse. The attacking options we've had this season compared to even some prem teams, on paper at least, trump 95% of this divisions. Possibly the managers job to make the most of that talent.

Either way, we're gonna go up 1st or 2nd anyway, it'll be cushty.

Lloyd Doyley. Professional footballer who cannot take a throw in. Probably the highlight of the night along with seeing the shortest referee and linesman duo. Like Ant and Dec

I thought that they would be happy with a draw and it showed. They were happy to have 7 men behind the ball at all times. Still our distribution was shocking again. Baldock and Maynard up top and yet the ball still getting punted up towards them. Made no sense. Even when their guy went off injured, they replaced him with someone who resembled Ivan Drago. The bloke was huge. Yet he dominated everyone in the air because it was so obvious what we were going to do and we didn't try and change it. We need to start linking the midfield with the strikers otherwise it's not going to work. Maynard, Baldock, Cole & Vaz Te have all shown that they are competent enough to play with the ball at their feet so why not keep the ball on the floor instead of hitting long and hopeful balls waiting for their players to make a mistake?

I can see Maynard & Baldock becoming very frustrated because they cannot play in the system we are using. We aren't accomodating our better players and until we do that we will struggle to overcome teams who are wise to how we play. I expect more of the same against Doncaster on Saturday which is the frustrating thing.

Was going wide before taking a deflection off Mr Faye, according to Mr Allardyce.

I've not seen a replay so can't comment.

Missed Jack's drive in the centre of the park....

Lack anyone who can take a player on....

Although their keeper played well...we didn't work him hard enough.

Bottom line....we aren't that good and its a very poor league.
