Re: West Ham United Vs Doncaster Rovers: Match Thread
Has Nolan ever played as an out and out front man?
I wonder if experimenting with him playing up front and told to just stay there might not solve a couple of problems - one being that our midfield doesn't actually work very well when he's there, and the other being that there have been a LOT of loose balls in the penalty area in the past few games that none of our other frontmen have managed to put away. That's supposedly his main skillset, so maybe we need to use it better, even if it's unorthodox.

All I want is a win, be it 1-0 2-1 3-1 or even 10-0. We just got to keep the pressure on both Reading and Southamption to keep on winning. We still have the Posh game in hand to recover those additional points we need and if we win and keep on winning, we dont go into that lottery of the play-offs.
Sounds simple enough, over to BFS & the boys to put it into action now.

Re: West Ham United Vs Doncaster Rovers: Match Thread
Should Doncaster manage to beat West Ham tomorrow - in front of what is expected to be a near-capacity crowd at the BG - it will be their first win in east London since 1955, when they won 1-0 in front of a crowd of just 4,500.
Oh here we go...........
Just joking, think we'll put on a right good show tomorrow and the win along with it..

Unfortunately he is out best forward and if left up top, i think would more than likely score.

Im not too confident for this game, i hope im wrong but i see us dropping more points. However, IF we get an early goal, we will win, if we dont score by half time the crowd will get restless, and.. well the rest is history..

Re: West Ham United Vs Doncaster Rovers: Match Thread
That was a bit before my time, but Danny Williams, who later went onto become a TV stand up comic and game show host, was their centre half that day. I believe his catch phrase and I think he hosted a TV show by that name too, was 'Ello flower'miami-hammer wrote:Should Doncaster manage to beat West Ham tomorrow - in front of what is expected to be a near-capacity crowd at the BG - it will be their first win in east London since 1955, when they won 1-0 in front of a crowd of just 4,500.
