Peterborough Utd 0 West Ham Utd 2 (27/03/12)
v
Tuesday 27th March 2012 KO 7.45, London Road, Peterborough,
Reverse Fixture: West Ham United 1-0 Peterborough, Sat 24th September 2011
So this is it. The most awaited game in hand in West Ham's recent history. Take 3 points from here, it leaves it in our hands to get automatic promotion, and with victory at home to reading next week, you wouldn't bet against us doing it.
This thread isn't going to be laden with stats or form. Instead, I guess the opening post is a plea from me DL, and almost every other West Ham fan out there.
All I ask of you West Ham, and in every other game from now until the end of the season, is for every player, when they enter that arena, to stick their heart on their sleeve and play for the shirt and WANT to fight and win promotion, be proud of that crest on their chest, and attack every ball like their lives depended on it. Work hard, and play hard. Play to our strengths and the oppositions weaknesses.
Please West Ham, give 100% in these remaining fixtures, and prove the doubters wrong. It's no good having the best team on paper if it's not the best team on grass.
The next two games will arguably make or break our season as regards to automatic promotion.
Come on West Ham and Big Sam. Don't bottle it now.

Glad we're finally allowed to talk about this.
Looking forward to it. Blagged half a day at work. Never seen a West Ham game from the terraces before.

Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
I shall just repost what I have already put.................
We need to win this and we aint going to do ******* about with 4-5-1 and a 5 man midfield about as fast as my nan after smoking a bag load of super skunk.
Our line up should be (Presuming Vaz Te is back?):
-------------------------Green----------------------------
OB----------Tomkins---------Stoke Boy--------- McCartney
--------------------------- Noble--------------------------------
------------O-Neil----------------------Nolan-----------------------
Vaz Te----------------Cole-------------------Baldock---------------
A proper 4-3-3 (innit).
So, like I keep saying. Despite Sam wanting everyone to think he's tough, he isn't. He's a nothern woofter and he needs to grow a serious pair of swinging testicles if we are going to start scoring goals and winning games. That means leaving his beloved 4-5-1 for something that might actually work.
The 2nd half today showed what we can do with the right line up and some positive football.
COYI, let's do these no man's land, not south, not midlands oddballs.

Standing up makes you want to express yourself more fully.Never seen a game from the terraces before.

Gamewise - they seem to be a bit Max Mosley at home - thrash or be thrashed......
We must get at least a draw from this to keep our destiny in our own hands.

Any chance of getting to the ground before kick off and getting in to the away end? Heading back to London for the Easter break and was thinking of pulling a fast one and stopping off in Peterborough for the match.

Troll eh? At least those two can score, unlike our misfiring striikers and you never know, it could be an inspired partmership. After all, Geoff Hurst was a right side midfilelder before Sir Ron played him up front in an emergencyMatt of iron wrote: You are without a shadow of a doubt a huge troll.

3 points is a must here. Will give us momentum against Reading which we desperately need.
