Looks like I was jumping around with you lot too! I had a black flat hat on... cracking night, it was a lot more like it used to be, Away games are always the best but I'd forgotten how much better terraces were.

IRONS!

Saw something decent whilst driving into Peterborough too. Stuck in traffic down that long London Road, saw David Golds car up ahead in the same traffic. Few cars down a bloke probably 20ish gets out of the passenger seat and walks down, probably to see what the hold up is and notices Golds posh as f*** car - does an awkward wave and goes to carry on walking but Golds window comes down, waves the bloke over to shake his hand, then opens up his door and lets him get in with him! Didn't look like they knew each other beforehand at all, so fair play Gold

We were, I was standing on your left, the tall geezer, 40's dark hair and wearing specs. Also the one who was out of breath after all the 'jump up' songs.

Top work on getting those songs going, I tried but my voice had gone early!

Lets all form a circle!!

Worst chant yesterday for me was 'sit down if you hate Millwall'. There was just about enough room to stand.

David Gold was walking slowly along the front of the away stand before the game, chatting, shaking hands and signing programmes. An absolute charmer towards the back of the lower stand stood up and bellowed "Eff off Gold, yer a c**t, just like the effing manager, har har." The way his knuckles dragged on the floor made me proud to be a Hammer. Not.

Pwopa football experience last night.

Great atmosphere all night, with the old faves being trotted out.

Not knowing where you'd end up after the goals (I had a much better view of the game after the first goal  )

Voice not fully recovered yet.

Banter between standing and standing-in the-sitting sections was top class. That was good old-fashioned West Ham humour that there's too little of these days.

Shame the "Posh" bird didn't do as we requested.

What the f--- was that thing that walked along the front of the stand at half-time ?

Rumbly guts this morning, most likely due to dodgy cheeseburger.

Well happy!

nothing new to say after all these posts, but it really was a fantastic night.
the crowd was already singing in good voice half an hour before kickoff and never stopped during the game.
some chanting came up when back at king's cross as well.

terraces - nothing to add, would love 'em back, but will never happen.

i really cannot think of anything that could have made yesterday's evening any better (apart for the girl not showing her tits to the lads).

the 'battle of the fans' was great!

edit: half time monster: i thought it was a tin of sardines, but the handles on the sides convinced me it was a mattress.

VMmixture and RARS - must have been very close to you boys.

Was next to the bloke with the Lazio Shirt with Di Canio on the back and to my left I could just about make out the fella that was starting "lets all form a circle".

Looking back on last night - my favourite away day by a country mile. The singing when we got back to Kings Cross was quality.

Also - "Afroman" at half time? bizarre in the extreme.

Funniest part was them saying they were going to put his single on next, then put on a Muse classic.

Just got home from a brilliant awayday. Cycled hackney up to P, lovely day for it lads you should try it. Great banter, not too much bile against BFS, about the right amount... tho just read his quotes to BBC he ain't learnt yet. Only thing: when I've had a long day on the bike, can we have a bit less of the stand up, sit down, jump up and down etc, the old legs can't take it! Roll on Saturday!
