Peterborough Utd 0 West Ham Utd 2 (27/03/12)Moderator: Gnome Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadAttack.
Green O'Brien Faye Tomkins McCartney Noble Nolan Morrison Vaz Te Baldock Maynard
Re: Peterborough United v West Hm United: Match ThreadJust dont play Cole!
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadIf Vaz Te is fit for this (if not, then Morrison wide left, Lansbury wide right, and Collison in the center):
-------------------------Green-------------------- JOB-----------Tomks------Faye-------Linda Morrison------Noble----Lansbury-----Vaz Te -------------------------Nolan---------------------- -------------------------Cole------------------------- Subs: Henderson, Collison, Baldock, Maynard, Collins Nolan as a 2nd striker...If Vaz Te and Morrison could get forward throughout the game this might work for us...
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadI understand it's what (most) people want, and we're posting what we'd like to see not what we think will actually happen, but there's no way Rav will start according to what BS has said:
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... r-Morrison Apologies if link has been posted somewhere else
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadI think Sam said that when he signed him, not recently.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread------------------Green------------------
O'Brien----Faye-------Collins---Macca -----------------Tomkins----------------- -----------Noble---------Nolan---------- Morrison-------Baldock---------Vaz Te Flair pace & movement!! Get the ball down & play the game with passion & pride, it's now or never to stand up & to be counted for. 3points in style please!
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Threadwe'll find out if Sam really believes we were unlucky on Saturday with the line up as he said in his post match interview...
if he genuinely believes that he'll probably line up the same - although I suspect he actually wanted to play tomkins holding mid and colllison right instead of o'neil - but faye missing put the end to that. if he changes the team dramatically it could be a master stroke or the sign of panic....he also needs to have half an eye on Saturday - potentially the game to decide our season wouldn't like to be in his shoes! personally I'd go for 4-5-1 with cole tuesday then diamond 4-4-2 on Saturday with maynard and baldock up front and scare the bejesus out of reading going for bust to attack

Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadSo bored of 4-5-1. I just want whoever he puts out to attack.
As long as we have Faye and Tomkins I think we'll be fine defensively. You win games with goals, not clean sheets.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
We would have won our last 4 games if we kept clean sheets.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
So are you an advocate of 4-6-0 then Carnage ? Keep it even tighter ? Or do you prefer 1-4-5-0 , with perhaps Tomkins as a sweeper ?
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadI would like to see a back 3 of Faye Tomkins and Collins, Faubert and Taylor as wing backs, Noble and Collison holding with Nolan playing behind Maynard and Cole.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
No, not another draw...we need a win.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
I want a win as much as the next man - just pointing out that if we were to get 4 points over the next 2 games it would be better to draw this game as opposed to the Reading fixture COYI, 6 points from both games please
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread6 points fromboth games
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadBest place to park in Peterborough which is closish to the ground tommorow?
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match ThreadJust want to see a team put in a good shift and play to their ability and not rely on others to motivate them, play without fear and believe in themselves.
Plus Sam picks whoever performed best in training pre game and sticks by them.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
And we would of won due to the fact we scored more goals than the opposition.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
Yes.
Re: Peterborough United v West Ham United: Match Thread
Doesn't sound like a bad set up to be fair.
