The decision that really riled me, was late on. Cole clattered from behind, painfully, and the ref gestured to him to get up...

I know stories of someone who used to piss in peoples pockets back in the Terrace days. Seems vaguely relevant.

As mentioned before, I guess it could have been a case of "pressure off" - go for the play offs. Pity we couldnt have done this no pressure thing a bit earlier tho.

Now to continue this spiffing performance - tally ho!

Great performance, Vaz Te was superb

What was the attendance?

Getting home today was a nightmare.. trespasser stopped our tube in the tunnel for 20 minutes or so.. then we get to Paddington and almost every train was delayed or cancelled.. anyone know what caused it? I heard someone say something about a Ealing Broadway or signal station fire? The train I got on was an hour late and was like a can of sardines inside..

Great game, great day and great result which really keeps the pressure on the Saints. It made a pleasant change for the negatives to have been aired and discussed by the time we reached the car, much sweeter journey home, but comment of the day has to be from my niece who went to the reading game but not yesterday. "what was the score?" "6:0' " we lost 0:6  " oh the life of a west ham fan lol

Watching the goals again on TV I realised just how poor the Brighton keeper was (not that I especially care you understand) certainly for the first two. Reminded me of the quality we have in Robert Green.

We win 6-0 and the match thread is 29 pages , the smallest match thread we have had, i guess its devoid of 20 pages on how **** Sam, CFC,Nolan, the owners etc .

Everyones quick to slag the team but noone wants to post well done.

Terrific performance but did anyone notice it was the first time we lined up 4-4-2? Definitely best performance of many a year and a side that looked very balanced although we did drop too deep for a while once 3-0 up.

I wonder how different the season may have been had we lined up with 2 central strikers at home more often? I'd happily see us line up that way at Bristol if everyone's fit because Vaz Te naturally drops deep to make a 4-4-1-1.

I'm only sorry that it took desperate circumstances to change BFS's BF mind. :raver:

A magnificent win , the home fans getting great value for money , Cole getting his 12th for the season , same for Nolan , but Vaz Te with a goal a game average for us , talk about a late burst for HOTY .

One small thing I noticed yesterday was when Reid came charging out of the backline to try and win the ball , Nolan instantly dropped back to fill in .That's good football .

Well played West Ham .

^ i thought it was a fantastic captains performance from Kevin yesterday.

Yesterdays result should be the catalyst for a good run in, i'm gonna stick my neck out and predict a similar scoreline in the Hull game.

He came out on to the pitch late (just before kick off) and from Lansbury's shot onwards just did not look at the races.

Mind you, other than fouling Cole about a dozen times the centrehalves were not much better!

D C wrote:Didnt catch the game. How did we fit Lansbury in? Was he on the wing or did O'Neil play out wide? I saw O'Neil set one up from a cross but doesnt really mean anything.
The midfield was so fluid that you could not really tell (which is a good thing). Mostly looked like a 3-1 formation in the first half with Nolan or Lansbury just off the front men. But then at times Taylor was far enough forward to call it a 3-5-2, but at other times Vaz Te dropped back to make a 4-5-1!

That is the least rigid I have seen us in years and it paid dividends.
