Dont let Taylor anywhere near the team. Yes he can cross a ball but can do little else. Use the long ball tactics, it proved it on Monday that if you play four up front instead of one we can terrorise defences in this league. I'd go 4-2-4, virtually bypassing the midfield.

Sort of an irrelevant game now, as I cannot see Southampton or Reading slipping up, or us capitalising on that, even if they do. That said, i'm looking forward to the game. I'd go:

Green

Demel
Tonka
Reid
McCartney (Collins if unfit.)

Noble
Nolan
Lansbury

Vaz Te
Maynard
Taylor

Subs: Morrison, Cole, Baldock, Collins, O'Neil.

We CAN win this. Need to get this home form back to how it should be for the run in and the play-offs.

I thought Lansbury did well. His touch was excellent, passing was good and he impressed me massively with his tracking back

[quote="MD_HMYes plenty, changed the game in the middle for us, actually looking for a decent ball or to run with it.

What impresses me about Lansbury, being a loanee but also having not played a lot, is how much he seems to care - I thought he made a massive difference to us yesterday, enough to see him start the next game.

My birds ticket still hasn't turned up either, like you said a bit strange as she's had tickets come through 2/3 weeks before games.

I'm hoping it's just a minor bank holiday delay. Had a paper ticket for every home game this season and i haven't had a problem yet.

Brighton would hate the long ball, especially if we get pressure like Mondays 2nd half.

Totaly agree. This boy is a creative player - just what we need. Stick with him please Sam.

And lets stop experimenting with Tonka. Put Demel in at RB and Tonka at CH. We desperately need some width.

Keep the faith

Coyi.

Second game for me this season :D

The team selection should be common-sensical. We start with the team which started the second half against the Brum, or the team which started against Barnsley.

I'd like to see Nolan up top as a main striker with Maynard. That means lansbury can be fitted in to the midfield aswell

We have to start facing reality and take away all players that we have soft spots for, this is football not a creche....

Green

Demel Tomkins Faye Collins

Diop

Lansbury/O'Neill Nolan

Vaz Te Taylor
Maynard

Bench:

Noble
Lansbury/O'neill
Cole
McCartney
Reid

Play the full 90 mins with the same mindset as the last 30mins. Had to have CPR almost ,yesterday.

Consistency is the key...if they are all fit, the same eleven that fought back and finished against Brum should start against Brighton.

If not, then it's time for the BIG strong f*ckers to step up if fit, Diop, Demel, - Faye (already is) these last four could turn into ugly games with us fighting for the win and the opposition defending in numbers....

Perhaps there's a pattern there. Stoke are supposedly the loudest crowd in the Prem - they pump the ball into the box for 90 minutes. We pumped the ball into the box for 30 minutes and the crowd was rocking.

Long diagonal ball is the future.

Simple 4-4-2 with the possibility of becoming a 4-5-1 if necessary!
