In my opinion it would be absolute suicide to go into any games we have left this season with no back-up keeper on the bench. The chance of Green coming off are slim, but if it happens you could almost certainly kiss goodbye to promotion in that moment. The risks hugely outweigh the benefits.

Blackpool shouldn't be considered anything other than a freak result - the only thing we should take from that is that it IS possible to lose your keeper.

Not going to be a walk over or easy on paper! today many of the team looked tired, we need to lift ourselves for the away match!

exactly. it was a bit of an odd ending today but I hope the players are not suffering from 3rd place syndrome. Cole, Collison, Vaz Te and Nolan are all in good form. I wouldn't be surprised to see McCartney back in for Thursday and our centre backs are looking v solid.
We're pretty much in as good form as we have been all season.

I think they are a bit of a bogey team for us as well, I know we won at there place this season, but this is a tough tough draw.

Agreed. Especially in the 2nd Leg or the Final where Penalties are a real possibility.

Cardiff bubble: how will it work

Post by upton o'good »

Cardiff away was one of th few few I missed this year.

If I get a ticket, I was thinking of travelling by train. How long before the match are the tickets available - and can someone collect tickets for you?
If I do end up going out there - how does one get out to the services, and is there a bus that takes you to the ground? Or arer you left to find your own way?

Get the coach, they'll take you to the services and onto the ground, otherwise it's under your own steam !

This is one of the points in the season where having Nolan as an on-pitch leader will do us wonders. Allardyce needs to motivate Nolan and Noble, and the rest will come.

We've had a great season and over the last 10 games the team has finally began to show some proper structure. For the first time this season I can say "Green, Demel, Reid, Tomkins, Taylor, Collison, Nolan, Noble, O'Neil, Cole, Vaz Te" and know that I'd be right about 8 or 9 of them.

Whether we go up or not, I'm firmly in support of Big Sam, I think he's done us a great job from a tough position and if we don't go up, I think we'll get an automatic next year.

---------------------- Green ----------------------
Demel ---- Reid ---- Tomkins ---- Taylor
----- Collison ---- Noble ---- O'Neil -------
---------------------- Nolan ----------------------
----------- Cole --------------- Vaz Te -------

Subs: Maynard/Carew/Baldock, Lansbury, McCartney, O'Brien, Henderson

We need to show the same passion/intensity that we showed vs Birmingham City in the 2nd half when we pulled 2 goals back & drew 3-3.If we repeat that effort then we can win these semi-finals & beat whoever we play in the final.

Oh,UTJ love the title to the news story 8-)

Linda to come back in at full back.
Taylor wide left
Collison I reckon will go to the bench
O'Neill wide right.

----------Green--------------
Demel---Reid---Tonka---Linda
O'Neill---Noble-----Taylor
-------Nolan-----Vaz Te
----------Over Chuffed---

Might be tempted to go Vaz Te right maybe we would be better balanced.

--------------Green-----------
Demel---Reid--Tonka--Linda
Vaz Te-- Noble--Collison/O'Neill--Taylor
------------Nolan---------
--------Over Chuffed------

Depends upon maybe how O'Neill's ankle is, he looked like he struggled to finish.

Other than the great ball to Cole, I thought yet again Lansbury was a bit disappointing....

Cuenca - O'Neil a major doubt. See KUMB's Twitter timeline, as posted from the press conference:

So here we go then.....Another play-off emotional roller coaster. Unfortunately I think we will lose this game but then overturn the deficit in the home leg. No way will we go there and win a second time in the same season. They are no mugs and we just caught them at the right time before after their carling cup final defeat. Prediction 1-0 to Cardiff.
