I'm not sure if it's been mentioned already but we actually have a big advantage here seeing as we don't play until next Monday night while Wigan are up at Sunderland Saturday afternoon. For that reason, I see no point in putting out a team as weak as some have suggest. We have a chance to get into the last 16 of a cup here, 2 more wins after tonight and we have a double legged semi to look forward to
I'd like to see a strong side fielded tonight. Something like...

Cup game? And not even a proper cup.
Injuries? Quite a few players are prone to them.
And on top of that, we face Wigan in what, 3 weeks for a more important league game. We are not exaclty know by our versatility which could play in Wigans favour in league game.

We should be playing to win the competition. Field as strong a side as possible, whilst not jeopardising the league. Maiga up front, Benayoun, McCartney, Tompkins and Diarra to start I hope. 4-0 win. I will enjoy watching the Wigan fans cry. All 66 of 'em.

Not a proper cup? I would be over the ****ing moon if we finished the season safe from relegation and with this cup in our hands. What a stupid comment

Have a word. Can't stand this attitude. It's our best shot of winning something and getting into Europe. A day out in Wembley and a few European away days. But no, it's not a proper cup...

I agree with you but it's a silly cup in terms of importance with FA Cup and the league. Miles away.
I doubt anyone is going to be with you here mate. Cup runs are what it's all about for teams like us and seeing as we are currently 4 wins away from a day out at Wembley and 5 away from Silverware & European Football I see no reason why we shouldn't give this a good go
