Call me stupid but I'd love to see us play in the final versus Liverpool or City. Proper day out and it's been a while since we've won a cup.TurnbullHammer wrote:It's every players dream to win the coc.

I'm coming along to this and bringing my partner. She's never been to a match before. Let's hope she brings us luck and a good win. As others have said a good chance for some of the fringe players to get a game whilst still putting out a strong team

You're bringing two partners to the match, neither has been to a game before and they presumably don't know each other? Good luck with that one mate

I like that line up but would go with Moncur instead of O'Neill. If the occasion proves too much then bring on O'Neill.Hammered123 wrote:Chance for people too stake a claim at tomorrow esp Maiga too start against QPR.
Id go for something like this:
Henderson
Spence Tomkins Linda Potts
Jarvis Diarra O'Niell Hall
Yossi
Maiga
Take Jarvis off after 50-60 mins.
Bench: Spiegel, O'Brien, Vaz Te, Famino, Moncur, Driver, Taylor
Would pick captain fantastic but the lad needs a rest always looks f*cked.
Re: West Ham United v Wigan Ath CoC 3rd Rnd: Match Thread.
I would like to see Famino play a bit - if only because he was the smallest, fastest thing I've seen at West Ham since that cat ran around the pitch last season.

Wigan are one of those clubs who just never get the juices flowing.
Just beat them and move on.

Dropping Reid in my team to keep him fresh and injury free so he can play against QPR in the league 6 days later. Most of you will have dropped Cole and replaced him with Maiga, but he needs to start in my opinion and get a goal under his belt. Leave Maiga on the bench and bring him on if Cole's having a poor game. Diarra and Yossi in the middle of midfield looks like an interesting pairing, so I'd go with them too, with Diarra playing the holding role and Yossi going forward exploting the Wigan defence. Hall is a definate star as he is our most promising youngster, along with Potts who I'd also start at left back. Vaz Te keeps his place on the right wing for me to get his confidence up and to hopefully grab a goal.
This team should get us through against Wigan.

If we want to be in the next round, I think the back 4 of
Spence---Tomkins--Linda---Potts
looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
Linda is not a CB, I would prefer to see Collins in there with Tomkins and Tomkins getting the nod on Sat to rest Collins for the QPR game.
We should not rest all the first XI as we want them to build on their good start to the season and they should be able to play 2 games a week (we did a few of those last season), but agree we should give a couple of youngsters a run out and the chance to see how they do with some of the big boys.

Yossi will not be available for this one as he will be fasting. Same reason Avram missed the Stoke game two years ago, Yum Kippur.
I'd like to see Hall and Diarra on the pitch, and Nolan given a much needed rest. Would love to go through, this could be our best chance of silverware.

Got to agree with this. The one player who should be starting, he makes things happen and a cup game like this should be the perfect occasion for him to get a lot of minutes under his belt.Yea Why Not wrote:I don't care who plays as long as Hall starts
