Tottenham Hotspur 0-3 West Ham Utd (06/10/13)
It's been a while since I started one. Best live up to my tag I suppose...
Sorry no fancy stuff, but I just don't have the time to do it.
White Hart Lane, 6th October 2013. K.O. 16:00
Unfortunately, I can't see anything but a resounding defeat, but as we all know, nothing is certain, and with a solid, disciplined and professional performance, we may just sneak away with a point, but to do that, we are going to HAVE to score - and that's what worries me.
Hopefully a bit of Joe Cole magic in the 94th minute...

To stop the depression that will engulf this thread, I think we should avoid predicting the score but instead predict our shots on target,
Ever the optimist, I'll start with 2.

Oh dear, Oh dear. Never seen so much negativity before a match. So I would like to be positive ! ...........I would like to be but I can't ! At least 3-0 to our dear friends from the lane.

Sod the shots on target thing. Let's judge this game by my sarcastic, self-deprecating gallows humour commentary as I watch it live thanks to the wonders of space telly. I'll let you know how witty I was and the end result, but am predicting a pathos-and-irony-filled RichNeal 5 Spuds 0. This will move us to a healthy 4th spot in my new, imaginary FA Satire Table.

We haven't a prayer. They have pace in abundance in their team and top class players who will undo us at leisure, plus one the division's meanest defences. I really fear for us in this one, I really do. Not only can they score goals from open play, their dead ball experts, of which they have quite a few, will also have a few chances to score from just outside the penalty box and they will convert some of them too. We will do well to keep them to under 3

Is anyone able to explain why Dawson's not in even the England squad?
He had Carroll for breakfast last year at their place.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United: Match Thread
My least favourite away game of this or most seasons .
Tottenham are developing a fine side , full of pace and players skillful enough to run at defenders carrying the ball , creating acres of space .Two things defenders generally hate are direct pace making them back peddle or having to defend their goal whilst looking at it .
For this game I'd leave Ginge out and move Diame back into the middle .
---------------------------------------------------------Jussi----------------------------------------------
Joey---------------------------Tomkins------------------------Reid----------------------------Rat
----------------------------------------Noble---------------Diame-------------------------------------
Downing-----------------------------------------Nolan----------------------------------------Jarvis
---------------------------------------------------Carlton--------------------------------------------------
A point would be a good result away at the Lane .

Like it PP. Would not play Demel or Collins and would play Downing. The thought of any of their players running at Demel or Collins scares the **** out of me.

Why drop Collins?
Last year at Anfield he had Suarez in his pocket which shows he isn't just a big meathead.
