New manager new players, crowd behind them, another trashing 4-0 :(

Us same tactics, hoping they don't score first.

If it is and if Carroll makes it onto the bench / pitch then I would suspect it will be BFS last game in charge.

I did fancy us to get something but after watching us play last night it's very hard to see anything other than a home win

I expect the usual first 20 minutes put up a bit of a fight. Concede. Show slight resistance up to half time.

Concede again within 10 mins of the restart then capitulate.

Could well be bottom by Saturday evening as Sunderland go to Fulham.

I am a proper ray of sunlight this morning :D

With our unwillingness or inability to keep possession of the football, they will continue to put pressure on our woeful excuse of a defence. We might get a few lucky escapes early before they finally break us down. Then one or two more will follow. Our forays into their half will be few and far between, and will consist of a handful of runs down the wing that lead to inaccurate crosses that are easily swept up by the goalkeeper or defence. A speculative but underpowered and inaccurate shot from Diame might fly over their crossbar or tamely trickle to their keeper now and again.

Following the 3-0 defeat, Sam will continue to bemoan our bad luck, injuries etc. without taking any personal responsibility for the effort and commitment of the team.

While the heady optimism of our opening day victory seems distant now, it will seem light years away on Saturday as we sit foot of the table with little to suggest us leaving that position for the rest of the season.

Sorry for the pessimistic (or is it simply realistic) outlook. It has been a long week.

I predict a 1-0 win to us after playing free flowing football, I think sam will get the tactics spot on for this and think he will turn things around - in sam we trust

only joking - we'll get smashed as usual and sam is a fat northern clueless ****

Any injury updates??

We are desperate for Ginge and or Tomkins!

We will get a result in this one. West Ham to win and Collison to score. He always seems to score when we play in Wales.

I'd go with the following:

----------------------------------------Adrian------------------------------------

---Demel-----------Collins-------------------Tomkins-------------Rat---

---------------------Noble(c)-------------------Diame------------------------

---------------------------------------Maiga-------------------------------------

---Downing-----------------------C.Cole-------------------------J.Cole---

Subs: Jaaskelainen, O'Brien, Johnson, Diarra, Morrison, Vaz Te (IF fit!)/Collison & Carroll.

Stick at least 1, if not both of Vaz Te & Carroll. Especially Carroll. I bet he could've easily had a short cameo of the bench at least from the Fulham game! Typical Allardyce, no urgency with getting players fit! Stop milking it Big Sam and stick him on the bench! There is f*ckall wrong with him! Headbanger

If we do get something, does that mean BFS stays? A win doesn't change anything for me (not that I think we will win) - can't see us beating Newcastle, then Chelsea away. Why wait until the result on Saturday, whatever it is I honestly believe we are going down if BFS stays. How depressing this all is :fsake:
