Everton 1-0 West Ham Utd (01/03/14)
I ain't having anybody else start this thread!
Goodison park, Liverpool
1st March 2014
KO: 15:00
Five wins on the trot?
Why not! We can do it and we have the big man back - and that should be the only change.
As much as I don't want to change a winning team, we are a much better team with Carroll in it, and Carlton looked like he was struggling, a little break will do him good, We don't want him injured and having Carroll as our only fit striker.

Got to say I think Everton will win, but it will be tight. Hopefully we can get another one of those 0-0 draws.

Will be happy with a draw. They are a good side, but hopefully we'll keep the momentum going.

Yes they are a good side but so are Chelsea and they failed to beat us too, you never know.Joey O'Irons wrote:Will be happy with a draw. They are a good side, but hopefully we'll keep the momentum going.

Play it again, Sam?
Winning is a habit and I'd be tempted to go with the same again purely on that basis which I think he probably will.
If we can get a well-fought point here, it'll be a good one.

If we get a point we will have done brilliantly. They looked really good today at Chelsea and were very unlucky not to get something. Martinez has got them playing some good stuff. Carroll to start so that he is someway match fit for Hull.

I think we can do them. They haven't looked good going forwards for a few games and with our defence always strong and Carroll back we can nick this 2-0 again. Either that or Baines is gonna smash in another two worldy free kicks.

I gotta agree with you there Linc, the Everton finishing has been dire recently and Traore's injury in warm up today made me  hamstring by all accounts, so he wont be there on Saturday to piss us off even more.
Normally I would be happy with a point against this mob, but Everton are currently 13th on form at the moment, so maybe we can sneak a long deserved win to make up for the Baines theft of the points earlier this season at the Boleyn.
Re: Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread
Everton are our bogey side, dont think any other team has taken more points off us in the prem. In saying that we're on the crest of a wave and with the big fella back there's no reason why we cant keep the run going.

Re: Everton v West Ham United: Match Thread
I'm over the moon with another win today, but to be the eternal pessimist i have been brought up to be i can't see anything other than a defeat in this one, a hard-fought defeat in which they know they have well and truly been in a game against us. A defeat in which we do not shame ourselves in the slightest, but just have to accept that they have the superior quality. Lukaku is apparently going to be fit and ready for the game against us, and they're a decent side with lofty ambitions this year. Anything out of this game is a pure bonus from my hopes and expectations for the rest of the season.
Side-Note: If we do get even a point out of this game surely Sam has to be in consideration for Manager of the Month? I know it will go to Rodgers regardless, but it be good to see them take in to consideration the importance of this run and the turnaround he has masterminded compared to others.

A draw would be immense
Respect their club, their manager & back in the 80s had a soft spot for them along with Citeh amongst the Northern sides

Rodgers? Ok they thrashed Arsenal (then promptly lost to them) and turned over the bottom club. Their only other result was a very average draw at WBA. They should turn over Swansea but thats still nothing compared to Sam's record.OllyWHU6 wrote:
