I do hate to keep bringing this up, but if they can do this it does leave you wondering why they couldn't take similar retrospective action on Flores.

Re: Stoke's Adam to miss West Ham game
I feel you really know the answer UtJ, it is all to do with the ref seeing/not seeing it. Flores incident was seen (in a biased way) as Carroll was sent off and Webb was duped by Flores. In the current rules, if the ref sees it, then the FA can wash their hands and hide behind the rule book.Up the Junction wrote:I do hate to keep bringing this up, but if they can do this it does leave you wondering why they couldn't take similar retrospective action on Flores.
Its the rules that need changing, but that is another debate.

They caught him 3rd time round. Did Bale, did Sandro and then left his foot in on Giroud in the air

Because their golden boy would have to admit he missed it/was conned/got it wrong?Up the Junction wrote:I do hate to keep bringing this up, but if they can do this it does leave you wondering why they couldn't take similar retrospective action on Flores.

Starting to wonder why we bothered signing, Nocerino and Armero.

If we hadn't been winning every game then they'd be starting by now. I'm confident we'll see both of them more from now on.saludo de carlitos wrote:Starting to wonder why we bothered signing, Nocerino and Armero.

Re: Stoke's Adam to miss West Ham game
Well when I wrote to them and said if they looked at the video they will see that Flores struck out at Carroll at the same time as Carroll was adjudged to lash out they wrote back and said they want to avoid rerefereeing games. That does not make any sense because the referee saw the Adams incident like the Pardew incident was seen by the referee. For thoose who say well Pardew is a manager he should act more responably my answer would be that so should the FA.Up the Junction wrote:I do hate to keep bringing this up, but if they can do this it does leave you wondering why they couldn't take similar retrospective action on Flores.
The simple answer is the Adams and Pardew incidents will make them look like they are taking action while if they had acted against Flores that would give Carroll/West Ham leverage to overturn his sending off.
Simple no respect for the game.

----------------------------- Adrian-------------------------------
-------------- Tomkins ---- Reid ---- Collins ---------------
Demel ------------------------------------------------ Armero
------------ Nocerino --- Noble ---- Downing-----------
----------------------------- Nolan ----------------------------
---------------------------- Carroll ----------------------------
Wonder if this or something like this could work, think we need to bring Reid back into the team but couldn't decide who to drop from Tomkins and Collins as both has been playing well and offer something different.
If not and we stick to the same formation then think we need to see the likes of Armero and Nocerino coming into the side now

Re: Stoke vs West Ham Utd: match thread
I think Adam's ban is harsh, not sure he could have timed it that well and known that Grioud's leg would be in that spot as his foot came down, think he was going for the ball.
