Arsenal 3-1 West Ham Utd (15/04/14)
Tuesday, 15th April 2014
KO: 1945
Team out of form - check.
Team that got stuffed in their last match - check.
West Ham coming to town?
Bad run of form ended...
Still, stranger things have happened.

We'll keep it tight in defence so they can't pass us through the middle like they love doing. Downing to get his first for us.

Got a ticket for this! Last season's fixture was well miserable. Can't be any worse than that.

Pub suggestions? Is Hamilton Hall still off limits for West Ham after Spurs away 2012?
Re: Arsenal V West Ham United: Match Thread
It was. Although, until they scored three in three minutes we weren't completely out of it...EugeneSpeed wrote:Got a ticket for this! Last season's fixture was well miserable. Can't be any worse than that.

We will try and sit back which will work in Arsenals favour and we will lose comfortably.
They are on the ropes and need the win, and we dont have enough attacking desire to put them under pressure.

Would love to see Everton in the CL next year. It'd be a sign that all is not lost in football
Getting something here would secure us in the top league for another season and boost Everton towards the top 4. Let's have 'em

If we only get points in one game for the rest of the season, then I hope it's from this game, so we can scupper the plastics hopes of top 4 and give Everton the break they deserve.

I'd love us to damage their CL hopes, nothing would make me laugh more than taking CL away from Wenger and giving it to Everton.
Still can't see us winning in any way shape or form, i'm going to say 3-1 to them annoyingly with Podolski getting a brace.

Re: Arsenal V West Ham United: Match Thread
As usual we will be there with my brother-in-law, who is an Arsenal STH and in a wheelchair. Last season my son had the "joy" of being in the Arsenal end as his carer whilst I at least had the comfort of being with fellow hammers; this season I get the joy of being in with them. I still don't rate Arsenal's defence so our best chance might be a similar game to the "Rob Green show" where we held firm and Zamora scored the only goal on a break. I'm pretty sure that will be Sam's plan, restrict their shooting and look to nick a goal. My worry is that teams with quick feet and movement give us trouble.
If we avoid a mad ten minutes like last season I can see this being close but if they get one I can see us losing by a couple as we open up to try and get an equaliser - the longer we keep it tight the more they might get frustrated, the natives might even wake up enough to moan.
