I admit I thought we got a bargain when we got Downing.

So far I've been proved wrong. He makes Etherington at his weakling worst look like Mark Ward at times.

So far the three Rodgers rejects have shown he was right to get them out of the club when he did. Carroll may come good with some new personnel around him....or may be our biggest mistake in fee and wages of all time. Hopefully it's the former.

i think both are good players its nolan thats the problem in my eyes.. yesterday we really tried playing some nice stuff even collins didnt always hoof he played quick passes into nobles its just as soon as it went to nolan fast game over.

need to move him on and build around a new faster attacking midfielder

Exactly Mumbles!

You could take Nolan out and give Morrison a free role next season. Nolan is so past his best it's laughable that Sam can't see it. Any new manager would ship him out asap. He was virtually a passenger at the weekend and has been for a while.
