Manchester City 2-0 West Ham Utd (11/05/14)
Last game of the season.
I don't really care about the result - all that matters is we put a good effort in, and get this lousy season behind us so we can regroup in the summer and build a squad to fight for the title next season.
Ok, maybe not the last bit...
COYI!

Surely Sam won't be able to 'target' this game as a write-off without being accused of unduly affecting the Prem title outcome? Don't know what he'll do with this game.

Only two possible results here.... a backs to the wall 0 -1 with Citeh having 32 shots on target to our one or
another total humiliation. Suffice to say I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Manchester City v West Ham United: Match Thread.
I want City to win the title (mainly coz I don't like Chelsea and can't stand the idea of the w*nkfest that is certain to follow a scouse win) but I will be delighted to take three points of them even if doing so means the title goes where I would far rather it didn't.
Re: Manchester City v West Ham United: Match Thread.
only 6 points difference between this season and last which isnt bad considering carroll has been out for the best part of 7 months of it plus all the other injuries we sufferedDyer's Leg wrote:Last game of the season.

Want City to win the title so would like to see Palace turn Liverpool over and a nice win for City against Villa meaning that we can have a go at them knowing they are champions and we are safe

Hopefully Gabbidon scores the winner against Liverpool and rips of his Palace shirt to reveal a West Ham kit with "Revenge for 06" Printed on the back, then Man City do Villa to wrap up the tiitle and then we spoil the celebration party.

Is anyone making the journey from the North East?
Getting the 8 o'clock train from Newcastle and meeting the old man in Manchester. Treating him for his 50th!
Score? Couldn't give a monkeys now we're safe. Just hope for a decent-ish performance, sunshine and beer!

Re: Manchester City v West Ham United: Match Thread.
Will be arriving in New York when the game is kicking off. Suffice it to say, my indifference will be heightened by this. To me, today's game was the best way to end a fairly harrowing season, where the facts on paper require a more forensic investigation before a true picture can be gleaned.
I would hope Joe Cole gets a run out if this is to be his final game in a West Ham shirt. Ditto Ringo, who has been a good servant on two occasions, and if he is not going to be offered a contract, then he should be given a swan-song
If we get a result, happy days. If not, so be it.

Gutted I couldn't get a ticket for this considering I live in Manchester and all. I know tonnes of Citeh fans so it'd be great to ruin their title, as I'll get all summer to mock them - COYI!!!
