Well, let's hope they are as bereft of attacking ideas and are as shot shy as they were yesterday against WBA, when we play them next week
Didn't see much of their game yesterday, only a few highlights on motd.
Hard to tell from that.

Yes, as Mad Mart says, Kouyate. But also, look at Carlton's instant lay-off and the ground he makes up to be the furthest forward as the goal goes in, hunting down the keeper in case there's a rebound.
Not to mention Vaz Te and is it Noble also getting into the box on the right? So professional, a brilliant goal.

That's what I worry about whenever we get a player of any quality. Anyway lets enjoy him while we've got him. Cracking performance yesterday. Strong as an ox.
One thing that struck me was the difference when it came to winning the second ball. At our place in April (?) Palace comfortably outdid us in this respect. Yesterday the exact opposite happened.

That's what we were saying yesterday; at last some shots from outside the box!
We were fantastic yesterday. Our movement looked much better and we really looked to play it across the park with a bit more tempo rather than going direct.
Didn't get to watch us last week but managed to today and I was really impressed. Kouyate looks like a great signing and zarate looks to be the attacker we was looking for, hopefully both can carry on this form throughout the season.
Noble was great too and cresswell impressed. Think we need someone better than vaz té on the left though.

He is EXACTLY what Mark Noble has been missing for years. I think the last number 10 we had was David Di Michele he linked up ever so well with Noble.
Nolan cannot do it because his movement and passing doesn't suit that.
Someone on my Twitter feed said "who ever injured Nolan, Thank you!"
I really noticed the difference in Noble. During the game I mentioned that I saw this improvement in him when Tevez was here. Very similar link ups with Zarate. You could tell he liked having Zarate there because he always passed to him and then buzzed around him looking for the return. Good to see.

Sums up exactly what you know about footballl
Puff Daddy wrote:That result gets us up and running with some points on the board. Now let's get another 3 points next week too and get back to back wins and build a bit of impetus. That will do wonders for confidence
That's the closest I have ever seen you post to something positive. When 100% of the people posting post match have been saying how well we played, how they love the new style, you can still only post that.
I was right in my original response to your 1st post above

noticable that our best games are when he doesn't do that as much
I don't really think that is his fault. He always tries to go forward, I just think he very rarely has a viable pass on. He always had a pass this weekend because players were looking for the ball.

I'm going to say it, but If we can play with that tempo consistently then surely Mr. Jarvis will find his form? No?
I think Jarvis will do a great job this year given the chance. I've noticed a few people naming their preferred line ups and not even having Jarvis on the subs bench which is harsh considering I thought he was our best attacking player all through pre season. He would really suit a high tempo game like Saturdays. He just needs to get into the box more - that's one thing Vaz Te does well that Jarvis doesn't.

Spot on. Give him movement and options and he picks his passes better than anyone else in the team. Nobes bossed it yesterday. Good to see Robbie Savage rave about him on MoTD last night.
First goal comes after some quick work from a corner by him.
Second goal started by a move beginning with a fastbreak pass by him.
Third goal scored from a free kick that he won.
