Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
Cresswell in at LB for Masuaku
Sanchez in at CM for Rice
Yarmolenko or Perez in for Antonio
Although I would also consider Rice coming in at CB next to Ogbonna.

I think this game may give us our first point of the season. An entertaining draw 2-2.

I wouldn’t be making massive changes.
Break up the Rice-Noble midfield axis, and take out Antonio for Yarmolenko.
Bournemouth won’t be easy to undo, and they have started the season well. I wouldn’t be surprised if we actually cancelled each other out.

What Sendo said. I'd be tempted to play Perez but I think Snodders probably deserves his chance.

Dont understand the urgency to convert Rice to DM when he looked excellent at CB last year.

We look so vulnerable with a high line and four at the back instead of wingbacks.
We must at least score first

You want Adrian back in goal?sendô wrote:---------------------------Flappy------------------------

Id stick with Fabianski, thought he was our best player yesterday
Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
If we defend like we did at Liverpool we will lose again. Bring in Cresswell and Yarmolenko for Masuaku and Antonio. I would give Rice another shot at DM. Fabianski was definitely our best player which wasn’t hard keep him in goal.

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
I doubt we will see too many changes due to fitness levels and the fact that Liverpool was our hardest away game of the season, sores than city. I would go with the same team and give them a chance. we have a good bench to change things if needed
fabianski
fredericks Balbuena ogbonna masuaka
noble rice wilshere
antonio arnautovic anderson
subs adrian zabaleta diop cresswell obiang hernandez yarmolenko
maybe cresswell for arthur if fit but he didn't make the bench yesterday and had no preseason and maybe yarmolenko for antonio

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
Plan B has always been associated with Carroll, but you can see the value of Snodgrass off the bench late on too – the closest we got yesterday was from one of his corners.
I'm assuming Pellegrini isn't the type to focus too much on set piece goals, but it can't hurt to have that sort of skillset to try and nick something late on from a free kick or corner when the preferred route isn't working.

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
What I'd like to see (3-4-3):
Fabianski
Diop Balbuena Ogbonna
Fredericks Obiang Wilshere Masuaku
Yarmolenko Arnautovic Anderson
It seems we struggle with the basics in defence with a back four, whoever's playing.
Wilshere looked better when dropped deeper - he's isolated in the no.10.
Pace down the wings and more athleticism through the spine.
What I think we'll see (4-3-3):
Fabianski
Zabaleta Balbuena Ogbonna Cresswell
Noble Wilshere Obiang
Antonio Arnautovic Anderson

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
I hope Sanchez is ready.
I'd start Snodgrass over Antonio, he deserves it, hopefully Perez will be on the bench.
I'm confident we will see a performance, from the boys!

That's my formation, but I think I'd put Arnautovic in the middle of the three, and either Perez or Hernandez ahead of him.Pob! wrote:--------------------------Flappy------------------------

Re: West Ham Utd v Bournemouth: match thread (18/8)
cresswell didn't make the bench yesterday and had little pre season so he wont start. masuaka had salah to keep quiet and was protected by Anderson and then Antonio. deserves to start against Bournemouth.
doubt sanchez will be ready
maybe obiang to come in for rice but I would start the same team and see if they can do better against a not so hard team and also after another week of training.
if it goes wrong after Bournemouth game then we need to consider tinkering a bit but no panic for at least 10 games !
