with their injury probs, i dont think we could have had a better time to play the arse.

I feel we can win this one, they are ripe for the taking especially without Henry,Pires,Llundberg & Bergkamp but we must take the game to them !
I might have a few quid on us at 11/2. :)

My Gooner friend reckons it'll be tight - he reckons Ljundberg is on fire as is Reyes and of course Hleb. There will plenty to keep our back four occupied I suspect...
still think we can edge it 2-1.

the Arse haven't won away yet this season, how good are we at letting teams go against their statistics ?
they have 4 of their top players crippled, a great excuse for the Arse fans if we do win.

but b*llocks to all that, 2-1 to us. we take the lead, 2-0 at half time, the Arse pull 1 back straight after half time and we spend 40 minutes with heart problems......

As unpopular as this view will be....Arsenal are a proper "quality" side. We will not be doing a Villa on them.

I reckon (with the first choice defence out, rather than the subs played at Sheff Wed) we could just about keep a clean sheet. And I reckon we could just about get a Yossi or Marlon goal off of some nice wing work today. 1-0.

Taking off the rose-tints I reckon 0-0 is the most likely result.

And putting on the half-empty glasses, they could rip us apart and show the world that we aren't yet ready to compete at this level and have punched above our weight so far. 3-0 to them.

I prefer the first ;)

Whatever happens, keep the faith. Arsenal are contenders for the title. We are still strong possibles for relegation. Asked in May there is no way I could see us beating Arsenal. Today its perfectly possible.

Confused?

i guess this is the lineup? Sheringham to keep his place, Bellion to replace Aliadiere on the bench.

im hoping bellion gets a run on the right wing at some point, perhaps with benayoun replacing sheringham. think he would be effective in pushing ashley cole back. if we're still in the game late on, cole will be pushing on and on.

GK) Carroll
RB) Repka
LB) Konchesky
CB) Gabbidon
CB) Ferdinand
CM) Mullins
CM) Reo-Coker
RM) Benayoun
LM) Etherington
CF) Sheringham
CF) Harewood

Subs - Hislop, Dailly, Newton, Bellion and Zamora

So who will score second then

I can't see it being 0-0 i think sadly Arsenal will just get a win 3-2 to arsenal, obviously i would rather it be the other way round

1-1 at half time with us winning 2-1!!!

odsds are good with us at 9-2 to win at home, 11-1 for a draw at ht and west ham win!!!!

couldnt thnk of any better time to play this lot with their topguns out, they are struggling and we are flying.

with us hostile bstrds giving it loads, a WH result could be on the cards!!!

Anyone see Wenger on SSP, thought he paid us and the team loads of respect, fair play to him

BUBBLES LOUD AND PROUD TODAY

Despite losing some sleep last night worrying about today (9 hours instead of the usual 10) I feel an air of optimism
Just opened the cutains to see the sun shining, Bob Marley is being pumped up (on the stereo not a blow up doll) and in 2 hours I'm off 8-)

COME ON YOU MIGHTY IRONS!!!!

well me thinks this game will say a lot. it will determine our goals this year. beat em and we have the mentality and the eye of the tiger to be unbeatable. lose and we will get down to earth, still have a good season but not aim for cl place. my aims r high.

and as i say,

up the hammers
f*** the gunners
