I was there for that one in the arsenal end, Hartson was on the halfway line and booted it off for a corner. It was a shambles!steve857 wrote:i'm kind of fearful of this game, i just remember the nightmare 4-0 down at halftime game about 9 yers ago.
i'm going with a 3-1 loss.
I'm in the Arsenal end again on wednesday, and I'll be sitting there wishing I was over in the clock end corner jumping up and down making loads of noise like the rest of you will be. I hope we can nick it by the odd goal.

I've got a ticket off a gooner colleague and will be in the north stand - I was stunned to hear that he pays £1,300 for his seat!!!

Really really bad, I'll be in the east lower. You'll be surrounded by know nothing idiots who really should be at the "rugger" and mouthy idiots who think they are really hard and funny, and shout random shat and expect a laugh from everyone around them. Also expect the odd "ars - en - al, ars - en - al" in girly voices. Oh and the up - down, up -down in your seat everytime the ball goes forward (thats why I like the constant standing in the BML, far less hassle)Bungle64 wrote: Whats it like in the arsenal end as I am in there on wednesday and havent been in their end before.
Other than that it's great

So because of Ashtons price tag he deserves a start?Rich WHUFC wrote:Why pay £7M for a player if your not gonna start him, I say let Deano obtain instant cult hero status!
then bring on Bobby to finish em off!
Whilst Marlon and Bobby are doing the business there is no need to change it.
When Ashton signed i was for the 'put Ashton straight in the team' theory, but to be honest where is the logic in dropping either of our two strikers who are on form.
I would be much more pleased with letting Harewood test there defence and giving Bobby the chance to continue getting goals, if he doesnt quite live up to expectations against them, then there is always the chance to bring on Ashton or Sheringham.
TO be fair i thionk throwing him in at the deep end away against Arsenal when we have no need to is not right.

our squad
DAILLY OUT FOR HAMMERS
West Ham manager Alan Pardew will be forced into at least one change for the
short trip to Arsenal as Scotland international defender Christian Dailly is
suspended.
Goalkeeper Roy Carroll could return having recovered from the back problem
that forced him to miss Saturday's 4-2 FA Cup win over Blackburn.
New #7million signing Dean Ashton is also in contention for a debut having
recovered from the groin problem that had been hampering him at previous club
Norwich.
Provisional squad: Carroll, Hislop, Ferdinand, Gabbidon, Konchesky, Benayoun,
Fletcher, Mullins, Reo-Coker, Etherington, Sheringham, Harewood, Zamora, Katan,
Ashton, Bywater, Newton, Noble, Collins, Clarke, Aliadiere.

Can Clarke play on the right side? Or is he completely one sided?
I have to admit I know very little of the guy other than he can play both left back and midfield
Looking at that squad, it's likely it's either him or Collins on the right back.
God forbid Pardew pulls Mullins back into that position.

I reckon its got to be 4-5-1 with Bobby up top on his own with Marlene on the right. Collins at right back to give Henry a good thump everytime he "drifts out to the left!".
This is one of the best opportunities we have of getting a result away to Arsenal, tehy ahve injuries and are low on confidence and we are buzzing and apart from teh right abck spot have a great squad to choose from. Feeling very positive about this game, cant wait!
