If we can get a quality right back in, then I'm confident of yet another 3 points to the 'appy, 'apppy, 'appy, 'appy, Hammers.

I was thinking the same thing, playing wing backs, but would it be a good idea to change the system in such a testing game?

Site match preview up to give you something to take your mind off transfers.

Pleased to see Keown is back on the Arsenal coaching staff, if he's there (on the bench) then a chorus of monkey's head could well be in order.

Irooooooooooons.

As I have mentioned on various occasions down the years, my oldest friend in England is a Gooner who has been a ST holder for at least 25 years now. He's a very pissed off Gooner now and is not renewing next season.

He thinks that Gilberto is the worst Brazilian to ever win a WC and is gutted to see that he's fit to play tomorrow. This is his advice for us tomorrow -

"Just don't try and play football against us or you will not have a chance.

All you need to do is kick the ball as high and as far as you can, you do NOT need to even aim it at anyone, certainly do not bother to 'pass' it.

Campbell and Senderos will then let it bounce and/or bump into each other and you will score easily."

I think he's just a bit too pessimistic, but it certainly sounds like a good game for Ashton to play in.

Why? Just because they have fallen on (marginally) hard times?

No, because he thinks Arsene has lost the plot.

Remember, as a 25 year ST holder he's seen plenty of lean years, so he's hardly a 'fair weather' supporter.

I am not criticising, it just seems odd that someone would choose to stop following them now, when they are in an "interim period" (i.e. where they will probably be decent again in a few years with all the youngsters coming through).
