Quality result and great all-round performance from the lads.
I was getting frustrated in the 1st half as Ashton seemed to be mis-timing all his jumps and wasn't winning anything in the air (I'm I the only one that thought that?) but he certainly did all his damage with the ball at his feet. Fantastic performance from him in the end. Nige, Mullins, Gabs and Collins were also superb.
Can't wait to see who we get in the semis.
COME ON YOU IRONS!!!!!

Can I just say I thought Pearcy was excellent in his post match interview, didn't shirk the questions.
No complaints about the red card or the second goal.
Top top man and a few managers could look to him for lessons in being gracious in defeat.
Make him England Manager (we don't wanna lose Alan do we  )

Just got this text message from a Spud at work..........
"That Ashton is ****ing *****. If Sven takes him instead of Crouch, it will be a travesty"
Now we all slate Crouch at work so I took this as 'tongue in cheek' and replied "Yeah, he's just not tall enough !"
Another text from a Chelscum bloke at work - "Hope we don't have to face you in the semi's !"
Couldn't resist it - replied "You have to get there first mate !"
I knew Ashton was a decent striker before we signed him but I didn't realise he was THIS good ?!?!?!? Oh, how I am going to enjoy going into work tomorrow !

Man of match gonna be a tricky one - everyone kicked botty tonight, tho Dailly was skinned a few times.
Who would you rather have - Ethers or Tricky Trev when he hit his peak for us? Although he does have tendency to lose ball sometimes, I think Ethers is amazing - one of the most positive players I've ever seen in a West Ham shirt. Defenders must be scared pooless of him.
Hoho to the Spuddy boys for letting him go!
