PAOK Saloniki 2 West Ham United 1 (06/08/06) PSF

Post by daniel »

Kick off at 19:45 PM.
NRC, Carroll, Gabbidon, Yossi and Spector are all injured/recovering from an injury, and have stayed in the UK.
Our previous game over at Greece ended in a 2-2 draw, against Aris Saloniki.
Marlon and Bobby scored the goals for us.
Aris FC(the user, not the football club  ) has already said he will give us some match updates.

Come on you irons!

Thanks daniel

I suppose that the kick-off is at 20.30 local time, so it must be 18.30 in UK.

According to the pre-match news, Paok fans are not expected to attend the match and, according to the best expectations, no more than 5,000 fans will be there. Paok faces serious financial problems (they were suspended from UEFA Cup for the debts) and the fans are really angry with the board.

I am a fan of Aris Saloniki (the arch rivals of your tonight's opponent) but I promise to be fair with Paok and to report only what happens as I will follow the match to the radio.

I can't hide though that I hope they will lose   with a heavy score - this will enlarge the fans' disappointment and we can mock them the following days  - and (since greeks love gambling) I bet on West Ham United, the odds are : Paok FC 2.48, West Ham 2.52 and Draw: 3.1 I will choose 2.52 I think that this is something like a "gift".

Bye Hammers, after that match I will be one like you I think

Thanks and kalispera Aris FC. How hot is it out there right now ? I have recently stayed in Nea Moudania a few times and it was really hot. Will it be a bit cooler with an evening kick off ?

I think that the match is covered in digital TV so it will not be free.

Kalispera. It is really hot these days here in Thessaloniki, more or less 38 oC and it does not change until the midnight, so don't think that there will be cooler because it will be evening. Two days before when you played against my team, the kick-off was at 21.00 and it was really, really hot.

Would you be able to give us updates mate?
If not, some post-match/half time thoughts would be nice as well.

supersport is the greek digital tv so i think it will work, it's not like a peer to peer stuff.
Moreover i think they trying to do a pay and watch thing for the upcoming championship
so they're testing it with the friendly games. Hope it will work.

You can watch it with windows media player.

Seems to work great for me in Window Media Player.

I'm watching the recorded AEK - Benfica match (for test purposes) now after right-clicking the Watch Now link to the game, selecting Copy Link location, opening WMP and clicking File > Open URL. Then paste the URL and off you go...

The video quality is good. The commentary is all greek to me though...
