Just around the corner this...
Who's worried?
Think he has to give Kyel Reid a go doesn't he? We lack width, Matty is out/playing **** anyway. Would say its definatley worth a go.
0-0 (West Ham win on pens)

I ****ing care. This is a massive game for us. Some goals and maybe a clean sheet and we can bounce back, if we lose it puts our confidence even lower and losing at Blackburn will be more likely, so Pards leaving will be more likely.
2-0 West Ham. Not an amazing performance, but job done.
See you all there.

I think in all honesty you got say we are sitting ducks for yet another night of cup embarrassment and you really have to fancy Chesterfield's chances in this.
The interesting thing will be to see what team Pardew puts out dose he put out a reserve side and risk another defeat which is some thing he knows he simply can't afford to happen or dose he go for broke and field the strongest possible side.
As i've said on another thread despite what some people might say this is now a vital match we desperatly need a win of any kind and to score some goals to help restore some confidence..

Must play a strong team.
Maybe give Kyle Ried a game as we desperately need some pace & width, but no wholesale changes please.
Another defeat will knock confidence further and I reckon crowd will turn on players if we lose this one.
A win & a run in the cup will however bring the increased confidence we need.
Plus, I may be hopelessly deluded, but with decent draws, a change in form (that must come) & a bit of luck, its not impossible that we can win this cup.
I'm not going all the way to Chesterfield on a Tuesday night expecting to see a reserve team or a team of players happy to lose.
COME ON YOU IRONS

I have been saying this for weeks, but a goal and a win and the tide will turn (I hope anyway)!

We are in a run of having not scored for 668 minutes. We've not won in seven games now. We need a catalyst for any kind of confidence boost and this could be it. It's important to getting team spirit back up and that's essential. If we can get a goal and a victory, it will have broken a very depressing spell, so in all honesty, this is a very important game for the morale of West Ham United.
I'll go with a 2-1 win for us on this.
It's obvious changes have to be made so my team:

We will learn and gain nothing (NOTHING) from playing the likes of Dailly and Sheringham in this game. Just leave them at home and give the kids, the cripples and the out of form players a game.

I would like to see Ephraim start but playing off the front pair. When playing wide right against Villa reserves he struggled to get into the game and did his best to track back but as a typical forward he stayed forward . Against Arsenal reserves he was all over the place (in a good way) in the "free" role. Picking up the ball in the middle of the park and running at the defense and making them work real hard all night.
The form he is in at the moment, Reo-Coker should start this game.

Both games ahead of us are winnable. In fact they are must win games.
An angry West Ham team will beat Chesterfield 4-0.
Blackburn will be beaten at Upton Park 3-1.
I really miss Lee Bowyer. Don't know when he will be back. (for Tuesday probably not.) I also think that Yossi is not fully fit - he should be rested. Reid should be given the chance.
Team for Chesterfield:

Mears------------Collins----------------Ferdinand---------McCartney
Pantsil------------Mascherano------Reo-Coker-------------------Reid
--------------------Harewood-------------Tevez-------------------------
subs: Carroll, Spector, Mullins, Cole, Sheringham
