Sheffield United 3 West Ham United 0 (14/04/07)
Its time to get excited!!
Well a few weeks back we were all depressed and defeated and now we have a massive game, "season decider" you could well say. Can't wait for this game now and i think we will do it. Sheffield United are a tough team to play against but we are the better footballers and i think our recent form will pull us through, just.
2-1 Tevez and Zamora
obviously an unchanged side imo
COME ON YOOOOOUUU IIIIRRRRROOOONNNSSS

I thought LBM looked much better against Arsenal than in earlier games . Maybe we could introduce him into the side? Either in place of Etherington, or in place of Bowyer. Maybe as a sub? Appart from that, I'm not crazy about making any other changes. I'd like McCartney to continue playing at LB, and I'd like to keep Yossi out of the team unless absolutely necessary.

Well said and I agree.wolf359 wrote:I prefer to think of us a under dogs in this one, as soon as we assume we are going to win a game this season; we have lost it. The players must treat this the same as the arse game, was cannot go their expecting to win, if we do Colin ****er and his team will turn us over.
I'm sure everyone realizes however ... that on another day, Arsenal could have scored goals in the double digits against us. I wonder what everyone's opinion of the team would be then? Even if we were to have lost, I thought the team mantained its improved form ... only they were completely outclassed. Our defensive approach against Arsenal worked -- by sheer luck -- and thanks to Green and a few other heroes in the back four. We only looked "safe" when we kept posession of the ball, which wasn't very often.
I'd prefer if Curbs would insist on mantaining posession. against Sheffield United.

wont Upson be fit for this game
im not sure whether it would be good to bring him in or not over ferdinand
would like to see lbm brought in over etherington as i cant see matty being effective (que me to eat my own words after the game)
must win game so 4-4-2 again same team apart from the above 2 player considerations

The game against Sheffield will probably be a huge factor of whether or not we beat the drop. If we lose, we could be "at least" four points behind the teams outside the drop. We definitely don't want that. A draw wouldn't be too bad either. Although it'll be a extremely tough game, I feel that with our recent momentum going into the game--we can do it.
I'm going to say 2 - 1 to the Hammers. Sheffield to get an early goal and Zamora and Tevez to score one each after.
Predicted line-up:
GK - Green
RB - Neil
CB - Ferd
CB - Collins
LB - McCartney
RM - Bowyer/Benayoun
CM - Coker
CM - Noble
LM - Ethers/Boa Morte/Benayoun
ST - Tevez
ST - Zamora
