I'd definitely play Camara. Newcastle looked very slow at centre half against Derby so his pace could cause them major problems.

Travel news for Sunday - you have been warned !

NEXUS is advising people using Metro to get to Newcastle's home game with West Ham on Sunday, September 23, to leave extra time for their journey due to the closure of Haymarket station and the line through it.

The ongoing £20m redevelopment of Haymarket means it is being closed all day and Metro services will be suspended between Monument and Jesmond.

Nexus, the Metro operator, will be running extra replacement bus services to cope with added passenger demands due to the match at St James' Park, which kicks off at 1.30pm.

The buses will operate from Jesmond Metro station and call at Haymarket and Monument.

Passengers travelling into Newcastle from north of the River Tyne are advised to alight at Jesmond Metro station and board a replacement bus, 900, to continue the journey into the city centre.

People who are using the Metro to travel into Newcastle from the coast are advised to travel into town via Wallsend to avoid the disrupted section of line at Jesmond.

Passengers who are coming in from the south of the river are advised to get off the train at either Central or Monument Metro station.

When the game is over Monument Metro station will be extremely busy and Nexus staff will be on hand to ensure the platforms don't become overcrowded.

Passengers who are using Metro to head to Gateshead and South Tyneside are advised to use Central Station to start their journey in order to avoid the queues at Monument.

Metro Director, Mick Carbro, said: "I would like to apologise to passengers for the disruption and thank them for their patience while the redevelopment of Haymarket Metro station continues.

"With Newcastle United having a home game at St James' Park we have made sure there are extra replacement buses running between Jesmond and Monument to cope with the added demand.

"We are expecting Monument Metro station to be extremely busy after the game. I fully appreciate that passengers may get frustrated if they are kept waiting next to the barriers in the ticket hall, but this is to avoid overcrowding the platforms and it is for their own safety.

"Anyone travelling south to Gateshead, South Tyneside and towards Sunderland is best off getting the Metro from Central in order to help us minimise the queues at Monument.

Why are people insisting on picking Cole? He struggles to control the ball, doesn't make best use of his pace and cannot shoot with a Premiership level of accuracy.

Might be worth giving Gabbidon a start over Ginge if Owen plays.

Keep it tight, attack on the break using Ashton as a hold up man, got the pace of Camara and Etherington. Bowyer playing well and with a point to prove to the geordies.

Parker, Boa Morte, Ljunberg can all come off the bench.

Parker played 90 mins for the reserves in the week against Portsmouth so he is getting there and Bellamy is probably a few more weeks yet (groin strain).

Well at least Camara has pace and is in goal scoring form. Seems like a decent enough replacement to me. Maybe Bellamy resting will be good for him, because IIRC he has had niggling problems with his groin for a while.

Alan Curbishley is hoping to have Craig Bellamy will be fit to face his former club Newcastle United on Sunday. Craig has been suffering with a tight groin in recent weeks and had to come off in the first half of the Hammers' 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.

"The problem, as we understand it, is that he has been wearing orthotics in his boot he's felt discomfort in certain areas," explained Curbs. "It has cleared up the problem he had, but created another.

"We thought it might be a hernia but it's just that the mouldings have put more pressure on certain parts of his body that before. It's just something we'll have to work through.

"In pre-season he, Scott Parker and Julien Faubert set the tone for our training. He trains like a Trojan and he expects everyone else to do the same."

Curbs also relayed that Anton Ferdinand and Danny Gabbidon are back in training and in contention for a place in the squad after suffering a respective knee injury and illness.
