I'd stick bowyer on fabregas, because on past form, bowyer has been best for us when he's faced with tracking a world class midfielder and also it would leave noble open to concentrate on running the show in midfield. With bellamy back but bobby out I'd go for:
Green
Neill
Upson
Collins
McCartney
Ljungberg
Bowyer
Noble
Etherington
Ashton
Bellamy
Subs
Wright
Ferdinand
Parker
Mullins
Camara

I just don't feel he's suited to the big occasion(and bowyer is?, I hear you cry!) having never played on the biggest stage where bowyer has(CL with leeds) . It is obvious we need someone to get hold of fabregas and while mullins has been superb for us this season, all his performces have been against teams like brum, wigan and reading. Bowyer really does it for me v the big teams and I think he's the man to track fibreglass.

i have a funny feeling we will hear a few chants of In-ger-land or even Swing Low today. Arsenal likely to only have one Englishman (Walcott) in their squad and he'll probably be on the bench.
for me it will be interesting to see Adebayor and Ashton on the same pitch. also a lot is made of Freddie up against his old club but the same applies for Upson and Boa Morte (although i don't think he'll make the bench)...think both will have extra reason to be fired up.
GK - Green
RB - Neill
CB - Upson
CB - Ferdinand
LB - McCartney
RM - Ljungberg
CM - Mullins
CM - Noble
LM - Etherington
CF - Bellamy
CF - Ashton
Subs - Wright, Collins, Parker, Bowyer, Camara

They played - pretty uneventfully - alongside each other on Wednesday.westhamgardner wrote:yeah he played against Plymouth what about Mullins though?
I don't imagine that its an experiment that AC will repeat in the Prem. Both were too deep.
I'd put Lee on Clichy - who will advance across the halfway line at will today. We'll do very well to get a point. I can see a high scoring game - we just need some real threat against Senderos and Almunia.
Green
Neill
Upson
Collins
Stella
Bowyer
Mullins
Noble
Ethers
Dean
Bellamy

Wright
Spector
Anton
Parker

Just about to start the drive. A bit of a rush today.
If the game starts with a high tempo it could be a cricket score.
4 - 4 Both teams going for the win. Game of the season.
Ashton 2 , Bellamy 1 and Boa to smash in a 35 yard screamer
with the last kick of the game.
It's so much fun in my claret world. The strangest things happen.

Just been watching football focus on BBC 1. Think I might have heard "West Ham" mentioned once. Too busy comparing Fabregas to Platini. They even managed to dig out a load of clips of Platini scoring goals, but not a single West Ham player was mentioned FFS nor that we did the double over them last season
